Can't wait to see how ruling out KP for England after yesterday is going to work out for the ECB. Appointing Strauss was cowardly enough anyway.

England will get humped in the Ashes whether KP is in the team or not. Either way the Aussies will have a boat load of ammunition for the sledging. His recent 326 not out says more about the Leicestershire bowling attack and fielding (they dropped him 4 times!).

KP has too big an ego for the team, he's got the capacity to destroy the dressing room from within, and he's easily riled by the Aussies. Personally I think it's best to discount him and move on.

Best way to deal with the Aussies' sledging is to just not get involved with it, but Broad's mouth is too fucking big.

Pietersen's ego is too big? Have you looked at the current team? Also it's poor from the ECB to have a chairman who says 'clean slate, score some runs' and then for this to happen. If this is the security Cook needs as a captain, is he really captain material?

Since he went gray kp seems a might more mature and is getting runs and its runs that count. He also deals well with sledging. I'd add him to the squad with no obligations so there's an option to use him
