Sad news. As a sport-averse comedy obessed kid, Benaud's bone dry wit was of the main reasons I ended up getting into cricket at all. I was gutted when he stopped broadcasting in the UK. Didn't realise until this morning that was ten years ago. RIP Richie.

I always remember hearing his final commentary on C4, totally restrained, and then talking about the wicket just fallen rather than himself. A true great. RIP
