Personally, I love to give my opinion to anyone who'll listen. So here it is...
Swobo Sanchez is designed by the same bloke who did the Bianchi Pista, the difference is that the Swobo has a more relaxed geometry.
Also the Sanchez has sloped geometry, which can be a plus for short folk with testicles.
Theres a definite style difference too, hiphop or retro track. What floats your boat?

How is a Swobo Sanches 'Hip Hop.' This is a serious question, as I've never understood the HHSB thing. Where I'm from, we don't generally equate hip hop and fixed wheel/gear bicycles.
So, I guess, can you explain what is meant by 'hip hop slave bike?'

What's wrong with going to a bike shop, looking at the bikes in question, and you know, making your own mind up ? God forbid actually trying one out before you buy it
I think it's right that people are shitty to posts like this, I'd hate to see this place turn into Bike Radar

the sloped geometry make it more relaxed also both can be made as HHSB, it's varies on how you build it up.

it's a tongue in cheek, we don't literally mean that a ´HHSB´is for rapper and the like, it's simply a parody.

Ed, whenever I'm feeling gloomy, your posts lift my mood - "rapper and the like, it's a simple parody" - I'm trying to explain to my son why I'm laughing so much at my computer....

That is fucking hilarious. Whoever wrote that is a genius.

It was Tynan. And like all geniuses he is seriously flawed. And he smells.

As far as my personal opinion goes, I think the Bianchi is a nicer looking bike (garish decals aside). I'm not crazy about the way the Swobo looks. But I have a Fillmore, so what do I know?

I know ! And agree !!

The smell, as I explained at the time, was because I was up all night running from the police, hiding in bushes, living amongst the rats.

Yep, best left others to answer that one, as I have no idea what all you groovy kids are into these days.
TBH the amount of work/cost involved in swapping a handle bar on a bike with no brakes, no gears, and an ahead stem is bugger all. So really you can build either one up however you like, without much bother. hang on someones having my opinions before me again...
both can be made as HHSB, it's varies on how you build it up.
The only difference is the geometry which is tricky to advise on given the total lack of info.

you know how I find out? back then a year ago I was under the same dilemma, a Swobo or a Pista? (when they both used to cos the same), so I went to BLB and tested ride both the Swobo and the Bianchi, in the end I decided on the Bianchi because I quite like how it ride.
the OP should do the same instead of asking question.

I agree, Ed. Because what works for one person may not work for another. I went with a Fillmore, in part, because I'm really tall and have a long torso. So I wanted a bike with a longer top tube. Had I not ridden other bikes first, I wouldn't have known which one was the most comfortable for me.
One rule of thumb, though, is that when you buy OTP in that general price range, you are going to get a bike with some naff components that you will need to upgrade later. So go with the bike that you like the most and don't sweat it!
-
• #70
well, who here hasn't brought an OTP and already change a few bits on it?
-
• #71
You sure you don't mean has bought an OTP Ed, you've seen my bike haven't you?
Its a custom build, I do love my bike but I have had quite a few pedal whacks on occasion no thanks to the low BB height. I really want a BMW Gangsta track sometime next year anyhow so its no biggie the Swobo frame and fork was never gonna be a permanent thing. -
• #72
You only can buy the Bianchi Pista as an fully build OTP, and since the Swobo can be brought as an fully-build OTP, it's safe to assumed that especially since they used to be of similar prices (before the Bianchi shot up £150 more).
-
• #73
Stif have the swobo frameset for £175.

FWIW I have a sanchez that I ride frequently on the streets in LA, often on Wolfpack rides and it's served me very well. That said, a few others have the Pistas and love them. Really, the best thing is to test ride both and see which one you feel more comfortable on.

Yeah I like the Pista, bit expensive nowadays though innit!
The thing with andyp (stands for Andy Pandy) is that he is sooo cute and cuddly in the flesh, I just don't know what comes over him on here....
