  • Carcass are doing 3 nights at the underworld in March, tickets are £6 and only available in person from the Worlds End. A mate got me one, think im going on the 27th (not sure though)

    Be quick!

  • Wtf was going on with the sound at HoF on Friday? Seriously amateur-hour stuff. I haven't been to a gig at Islington Academy in about 8 years and I very much doubt I'll be returning in a rush.

  • As with the roundhouse, I wont do the Islington Academy anymore, too many shit nights there. Sorry you had a similar experience :(

Saw this, wanted the 26th for Age of Taurus as support... No getting there anytime soon though

I used to know their original drummer - Ken - who had a sudden brain haemorrhage back in '99. It was a real shock, he was 10 months in a coma. I gather he's popped up on stage with them a few times in recent years for a brief drum solo.

Looks like we shouldn't be going to gigs - we should go to metal church instead. Praise Jesus (although it seems the bands I listen to prefer that Satan bloke). Perhaps this is a simple reaction to Varg Vikernes?

The BBC's explanation of death metal made me laugh though.

Good to hear about Ken - remember seeing them at the Plannet X when they were starting out. They all seemed really sound. I loved that the FBI thought that Jeff Walker was a narocotics king pin. I don't know if living near St Helens makes that any funnier.
