  • tom, you can get it sent to me and i'll send it on to you avoiding customs?

edit: i think that i'd still get customs charges, i dunno.

  • This is exactly the situation I'm facing for a snapped spoke. How big a deal is it (time & effort) to take the freewheel apart & off and re-assemble it?

Also what is the largest toothed removable freewheel available?

not quick or easy. i think mike's freewheel (24t?) had around 60 or 70 ball bearings. that was interesting.

it's not actually a huge deal, though i wouldn't attempt it without a fair amount of time and patience; take off outer plate, remove bearings, pawls and springs, remove outer (toothed) ring, gently clamp the internals and grip in vice to remove. it's the putting back together that is much less fun.

  • Tom, how about using an old chainring with the teeth ground off?Won't be as durable as a purpose-made guard, but should do the job, be easy to get hold of and cheap as chips.

Nope you don't get custom charges if it's a gift between friends.

For extra security put the same surname on the return address, I've never been charged anything for stuff sent by my dad.

  • He's talking about getting it delivered between the US and Canada. Yes there would be customs.

  • is it a new or alain frame just if its new i will love to know who made her!

  • wish i could build frames.

  • large frames are ugly.

  • large frames are ugly.

    +100 #suckstobetalllanky

  • ha, those are 26" wheels.

  • ....and that makes it less ugly how?

  • it doesn't, it makes it uglier. but it explains why it's so ugly.

  • needs a lie back saddle piller

  • to make it uglier?

  • my new polo project:

  • fix or free?

  • Just been to Decathlon and they ahve a bike for £70 that is basically a ready to play polo bike, v-brakes, single speed with low gearing, looks pretty solid. can't find it on their website, but i'll try adn find the picture

  • i dont know yet, im a retard

it was so cheap! so i overlooked that it didnt have v brake mounts and is 135mm spaced! doh!

white eno hubs on the wheels and white sprocket, everything cost $250

  • good price. natch.

  • very good price, but it has to be free, you already have the other fix.
plate booster with V-brake mounts may be the solution

  • and with a beer cage already mounted

  • i was actually thinking about just brazing some vbrake posts on..

    yes beer cage!

    bigger tyres though..

  • is it the diamondback mojito?

  • no its a decathlon homebrand, done all in orange with NY taxi cab stickers

  • stockport decathlon? for £70 it's worth a try
