I think Beagle uses them and Gabes used to, check eBay/pink bike, they come up quite often for cheaps.

Punkture does, also Zoe, Ali and Jo cambs, Chrispickering and Jo pompon. Pretty stiff as they are downhill cranks.

I'm less interested in cheap, more if they seem strong and light, and how they compare technically to the Middleburns.
What's your impression of them?

I've got slx cranks in my polo bike ( it's lower model ) - they are slightly less stiff than staints but both of them are very durable :)
One week ago our bikes was hit by car ( 90 degrees ) , we've got our bikes on carrier ( mounted on our car rear hook ) and that car front was devastated by my crank + time atac pedal :P <- yes.. my cranks are fine after this accident :P so slx/saint cranks are very durable ones :) -

Ha, SLX cranks might withstand a car but not Eddy!

(8:39)Tims crank (the guy on the green bike) was bent after the crash. He was still able to play on though but has Saint cranks now IIRC.

SLX are nearly as strong as saint, and cheaper.

I'm pretty sure saint would be overkill but they're very nice if you can get them.

Lay off the Chinese, coke and Maccy D and you'll save that difference + loads more!! Haha
-
• #10322
Or take a dump before playing? ;)
-
• #10323
I got the saints because I couldn't find the slx ones in 165 (the crank length that Ryan designed my bike around) and also cause they are stiff as and top quality. They are heavy but my bike is light enough and stiffness (and unnecessary bling) is a priority

Lay off the Chinese, coke and Maccy D and you won't need the strength of Saint cranks!! Haha

Yeah I also heard saints are heavier. I've had deore for almost 2 years no problems. Does anyone know the weight of deore?
yep on both. Got it from a GB cycling sell off, apparently it's one of Jason Queally's old training bikes
