He usually protects his players and blames defeats on outside forces to create a siege mentality, but I guess he has written this season off now.

What he's telling the press is mainly for Abramovich's benefit.
that's what I figured, but surely that's only to shame Roman... or they're not really talking?
-
• #99854
So Fawaz vs. Billy was just the rehearsal for Roman vs. Maureen?
-
• #99855
Wow. Thrushy really has completely lost his mind

I think it was predicted he'd crack up in the new Year but he really has fallen apart
You've surpassed yourself, Mike, yet again...
What he's telling the press is mainly for Abramovich's benefit.
^ This...
It's... Fucking... Obvious...

It doesn't say much for the strength of the relationship if he needs to communicate this way. It would be very funny if Mourinho ended up at United after all.
-
• #99857
Then he'd just be blaming the defence.
-
• #99858
He's frustrated, inconsistent performances and lack of discipline are things TSO doesn't tolerate...
I think we've had a pretty good season considering our strikers have gone missing for most of it... We're missing a striker and we could do with another CB...

Yep - and anyone who is surprised by it is just showing how little they know about him. He always does business in this way - Porto, Chelsea v1, Inter, Madrid and now Chelsea v2

Um. Do you even football? If their relationship was strong in the first place he would have
a) never left the first time
b) behaved like he had actually wanted the job at the beginning of the season rather than looking like the girl who hadn't been asked to dance by Lord Ferg. -

he's tried being nice to the strikers and it obviously hasn't worked - now he's playing hardball. it'll work, or he'll get new strikers.

As well as querying the decision to let Lukaku go out on loan, I might be asking Mourinho why he spent £32mn on Willian and bought in Eto'o on big wages when he could have used that money for a genuine centre forward last summer. I might additionally wonder at why he has sought to humiliate the players he does have to work with, whilst still in with a shout of the league and European cup.

• #99862
who exactly was available? Fuck all. That's why Spurs ended up paying all that cash for Soldado.
-
• #99863
Willian has been great this season, he's slotted into midfield seamlessly... Second only to Hazard IMO...
-
• #99864
And what Dan said... No one was available...
-
• #99865
yeah - he's definitely got on board with the Mourinho way. Runs like a bastard all game and is lightening on the counter, even if his final ball is a bit iffy sometimes.
-
• #99866
He's like a slightly more luxurious version of Kalou.
-
• #99867
He's a million times the player Kalou ever was or could be...
Hope he goes to the Emirates next season, lol...
-
• #99868
Kalou always reminded me of a pony who had somehow worked out how to put shoes on.
-
• #99869
He purchased Willian to stop him going to Liverpool, like he did with Salah.
Anyway it will all in in tears
-
• #99870
I've got a real soft spot for Kalou but I get what you mean, he seemed to make everything look accidental...
