  • Chalfie, need a young striker, Lukaku's shown he can score goals in the Premier League, even without the right service he'll still make something happen. Fits Spurs M.O of buying them young and selling on, and if we did get him (his agent says he's spoken to Levy, but he's also speaking to lots of people) we'd get a young striker with plenty of upside who will give us a different look upfront.

If we did get him I'd assume Adebayor would be out the door, but I could be wrong..

And he'd move to Spurs because of all those glamorous Thursday nights right??

Stop it, Corny, it isn't August yet...

This. I know your season is over, but let everyone else catch up eh?

  • nice to see an old chelsea stalwart make a reappearance last night

    no not fat franky

    the chelsea headhunters

    http://www.standard.co.uk/news/crime/chelsea-headhunters-on-rampage-in-paris-300-football-hooligans-smashup-shops-as-they-fight-with-paris-st-germain-supporters-9235039.html

    so 1990's

You're forgetting most of the sportswear* worn by Liverpool fans in the 80s was purloined while 'on the rob' on those great European nights abroad...

Not condoning those meatheads' behaviour, just adding a little perspective...

    • LaCoste polos, FILA, Diadora, Sergio Tacchini 'trackie tops' and Fiorucci, Lois and Guess jeans...
  • This. I know your season is over, but let everyone else catch up eh?

Let's talk next season... If you don't wet the bed in the meantime, of course...

    Until then >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  • That was aimed at Corndog.

  • Sorry, I've got a headache...

  • It was a great goal, our defence made it easy for him tho'...

  • it's a great goal, but why the hell did Azpilicueta went to the ground? Lampard should have done better as well.

I guess there's always next year...

  • What does David Luiz actually do? Serious question

  • everyone's so touchy today, and not in a good way..

    are you surprised?

Utd fans have become football supporters and pretend nothing's happening.
Chelsea fans knew they weren't gonna win the title but some tits on here said it was all bullshit.
Spuds fans are against modern football or are trolling the rest of us.
Derby fans are showing symptoms of borderline syndrome.
Forest fans have got psycho as their next manager.
WBA are on their way down.
City are doing a mighty fine job of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
Our Everton fan has been banned.
Cliveo is on a diet to make sure he drags his ass over some epic mountains.
That leaves us with some nutcase WHU fans who don't know what's happening and the muptard Liverpool fans who are so delirious that their heads are about to explode yet you are still here trying to figure out why we're all a bit TWITCHY?!?

  • Next season,

    E'eto, Lukaku & Diego Costa

    Nose tap

Ba could possibly be heading to Spurs, Torres probs back to Spain.

Sorry to disagree but I don't think Lukaku will be playing for Chelsea next season - I'm not sure he will go to Tottenham but I would hazard a guess that Chelsea will sell him to the highest bidder so long as its not who they consider a threat.

Southampton might be a possibility given the Shaw interest and with Osvaldo likely heading to Juve - pure conjecture.

Diego Costa would be a perfect fit for Mourinho but I honestly have my doubts about him in the Premier League. He doesn't have the pace that Torres did when he left for Anfield nor does he have the skill/sight of Suarez. Though I'm probably wrong.

Mandzukic would be my choice of player if I were a Chelsea fan.

  • What does David Luiz actually do? Serious question

His main role is official junior ambassador. He likes to score, either end doesn't matter.

The serious answer is too long and complicated.

Sounds about normal for this time of the season.

  • Perhaps we should start a thread for the lost souls of the football threads. Bit like an insensitive ********** thread.

  • Some interesting comments by Barton.

I reckon he is spot on about the England situation.
    m.bbc.com/sport/football/26866687

  • Imagine how insulting and ridiculous it must be as a professional who comes from a football culture where people actually research the opposition and apply tactics —*to be told by some tracksuited PE teacher that the reason the team is underperforming is because "the players don't want it enough".

Now hold on, I genuinely think that's unfair on PE teachers. Our school football team is coached by a coach who has them playing futsal to improve close control, possession football and finding space, and talks about phases of play. Another PE teacher has represented England in the deaf games and coaches the national blind team.

Meanwhile Tim Sherwood told the Guardian's Small Talk that he reads the Express and doesn't like books.

  • Lolololol

  • Wow. Thrushy really has completely lost his mind

    http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/apr/02/jose-mourinho-joke-psg-goal-chelsea-striker

I think it was predicted he'd crack up in the new Year but he really has fallen apart

  • How Mike? His analysis is pretty much spot on.
Dirty laundry shouldn't get aired like this but perhaps he's expecting a reaction from the squad.

If Chelsea beat PSG 2-0 at SB we're still through. It's a very big IF, of course.
At least we're still in it. Unlike some of those other "top" teams.

  • You are still in it yes. But his mind games have back fired spectacularly.
You keep telling people you are not in the title race, your players have no desire etc. then soon the players will start to believe it and play in that way. As is happening now.
He has the air of a desperate man if you as me

  • You keep telling people you are not in the title race, your players have no desire etc. then soon the players will start to believe it and play in that way. As is happening now.

Cahill's interview after the Palace game was a perfect case in point.

Maureen has mentally broken his own squad. His mind games have backfired big time.

  • So you don't think, for once, he was being brutally honest?

  • nah just showing his lack of class and poor sportsmanship

  • What he's telling the press is likely to be very different to what he's telling his squad, and the players individually.
