Psycho confirmed at Florist...
Starting July 1st.
You would think their season was over with nothing to play for but they could easily make the playoffs now. If they only had a brain.

Pastore won't come to the premier league.
I could see Atletico or Roma targeting him - but likely PSG would want a decent chunk of their outlay back, so its prohibitive.
CB what do you make of Timbo's talk that Paulinho doesn't deserve to be in the starting lineup?
When you look at Fernandinho and Willian their managers have got them playing welll.
I sometimes think that South Americans find it hard to work with traditional British setups
AVB had Paulihno playing well at the start of the season and there have been times where he's been the standout player in the team..
Basically Sherwood is a clueless fuckwit from the 'Arry school of desire and "just run about a bit" ... I can't believe the easy ride he gets from the media just because he's one of the boys and gives them good copy. Is it any wonder that quality players like Vertonghen and Paulinho are fed up when the manager is such an amateur.

Spot on, Dan.
He's so clueless I almost feel embarrassed for Spurs fans. Almost.

Prole not being excited about Pearce...
the delight from the derby fans tells a story
-
• #99806
But he's soooo de rigeur. Experienced managers over 50 or so 1990's...
-
• #99807
Sherwood is the most embarrassing Premier League manager I can remember. The unfounded arrogance is the worst part.
-
• #99808
I think DiCanio was worse.. only just though.

Imagine how insulting and ridiculous it must be as a professional who comes from a football culture where people actually research the opposition and apply tactics —*to be told by some tracksuited PE teacher that the reason the team is underperforming is because "the players don't want it enough".

Next season is already over.
This neatly sums up his managerial nous;

The stupid thing about it is that it was a golden opportunity for Sherwood to hold the ship steady, do a decent job and get a foothold in the management game. The idea that he might be manager beyond the end of the season is ridiculous and it just shows what a complete idiot he is that he's hanging on to it.
If he'd not made such a total tit of himself, it would be easy to imagine a struggling Premiership (Norwich? Fulham?) team or a good Championship team taking a punt on him at the end of the season. Now, no-one will touch him with a barge pole. -

"Tim Sherwood press conferences always look like he's appealing for information about a murder he's actually committed"

Tenderoni, most of what I could say has already been said by Dan and Andyp.
Sherwood shouldn't be entrusted with the keys to the transfer kitty. The fact that he believes he is the manager to push Spurs on, just shows the high regard he has for his own abilities. But we all know a manager has to get the players he's got in the squad playing better, before he can ask for money/new players to improve. And after the spineless recent performances against opponents above us in the league, we look to have moved no further forward, and the team is playing no better than under AVB.
At least under AVB there was a strategy, and a tactical philosophy, now we've got nothing more than up and at 'em.

LOL. Who said that?

Someone RT'd it on Twitter and it stuck in my head.

Spurs in for Romelu Lukaku?
really?
-
• #99817
Prole, this is for you to use when the Psycho appointment doesn't work out...
-
• #99818
I can't believe we're considering it seeing as we have so few options up front right now...
This will obvs change when Costa, Mandzukic and Falcao arrive in the summer...
But still...

Chalfie, need a young striker, Lukaku's shown he can score goals in the Premier League, even without the right service he'll still make something happen. Fits Spurs M.O of buying them young and selling on, and if we did get him (his agent says he's spoken to Levy, but he's also speaking to lots of people) we'd get a young striker with plenty of upside who will give us a different look upfront.
If we did get him I'd assume Adebayor would be out the door, but I could be wrong..

Stop it, Corny, it isn't August yet...

Lukaku will be at Chelsea next season. Ba, Torres and Eto'o most likely not. So if Spuds want a Chelsea striker they can take their pick of any of these 3.
-
• #99823
benteke is being linked too
-
• #99825
Next season,
E'eto, Lukaku & Diego Costa
Nose tap
Ba could possibly be heading to Spurs, Torres probs back to Spain.
