  • He's just a slow Theo Walcott.

    ftfy

  • Defoe only scores cheap goals against shit opposition - never when It matters

  • Is this page 3 of laughing at Spurs?

    Just checking.

  • Chas and Dave were on Jools Holland at the weekend. At least they've not lost their touch.

  • Not laughing, I'm weeping. Sort of. Like I care anymore

  • All this Spurs talk means I forgot how Everton did this weekend. Can someone let me know what their result was?

  • They scored as many as Leeds did against a team that scored as many as Derby did.

  • I think Spurs should have a clear out in January if they want to keep their title challenge on track. Maybe get in some more South Americans.

  • Suarez?

  • We need some more clever midfielders. We are four or five injuries away from only having 8 fit players in those positions

  • Between arsenal and spurs we have enough creative midfielders to last the rest of the premier league a decade

  • nowhere,middle,of
walcott dreams he could finish like defoe..

  • Doubting Corni is like doubting scoble! Is it not against The Rulez?

  • explain how he isn't a streaky scorer chalfie,
08/09 stretches of 4. 5. and 6 games without scoring
09/10 stretches of 4.4 and 5 games without scoring
10/11 stretches of 5.7 and 5 games without scoring
11/12 stretches of 3.4 and 3 games without scoring
12/13 stretches of 4.4.13 and 5 games without scoring.

He scores in bunches or he doesn't score at all.
    Streaky?!?!

  • isn't that exactly what streaky means ?

  • Corni, where did you get those stats from out of interest?

Was he starting those games, coming of the bench even starting at all?

    I don'y know, just wondering.

  • How does all that compare to other strikers? We need multiple baselines. How do other players with a prem scoring record of about 1 in 3 stack up?

  • Oh and I've got my lottery numbers for next week.

  • How does all that compare to other strikers? We need multiple baselines. How do other players with a prem scoring record of about 1 in 3 stack up?

    1 in 3 to 1 in 2 is a good striker.

    Ronaldo and Messi skew things.

  • I'd say it's more to do with the number of chances he gets to the number of chances he takes.

  • And he gets more chances against shit teams.

  • Ha she ever played against Derby?

  • Furious got the the stats from Chalfie link, I'm assuming the chart only has games that Defoe played in, not sure if they are from the start of sub appearances.
Didn't count the two or three game gaps, but he does score in bunches then has periods of not. Maybe because he's so prolific when he does score that you notice tr gaps when he doesn't. But I stand by my streaky as fuck statement..
