Michael Owens article in the Telegraph today was laughable, my particular fave:
If Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud went back to being the players they were last year Arsenal would start to look fairly average by their standards.
So the major criticism for Arsenal is that all they care about is being in the top 4 and not winning trophies - we have been in the top four for the past 15 seasons. The guy is a fucking joke.

Michael Owen, the horse trainer who travels everywhere by helicopter? What does he know about football, he gave that up years ago.

blackfoot - honestly could not care less. All that guff about Ferguson intimidating other managers, Mourinho calling Wenger a voyeur and all that other bollocks. I don't bother with it. It's only there to sell advertising space and get the clicks that papers need in order to stay alive. I'd much rather read an opinion piece or something by Michael Cox that's actually based on the game.
Tit for that articles like that are for a rag like the Sun or the Daily whatever.
To pretty much call a fellow manager a peado is OVER THE LINE!!!!!

£20-odd million pounds wasn't it?
Nice to see the 'savior' Kagawa being hauled off at half-time.
20 Fucking million £$€?!?!!! Makes Henderson look a fantastic buy. Another issue they'll have: can't afford to make those kind of mistakes in recruitment. How Fergie won shit having squandered that kind of dough on a bench warmer....

I can see why, shirt, tie, jumper and jacket? Even in the fashion backwater that is the east midlands, that's a faux pas.
Very popular look with the Italians though.

Very important win for Liverpool today. Top of the table has a nice refreshing look about it without the usual suspects up there...For now

he's an arsenal fan now.

Not sure if this is how the rest of the season plays out, but despite his uber happiness, I'm also happy enough with the table this way and not just because we're third. But its interesting when the predicted order of things is upturned.
Teams are looking vulnerable, the competitiveness of the Premier League is actually real, and no one is running away with it after six games. I'm assuming in 12 games time it will be back to the Manchester clubs, Chelsea and Arsenal struggling for forth, but for now, I'm enjoying the unpredictability..

You'd think they'd buy one that fitted him as a start. Then take a photo of him wearing it and show it to him.
Then it would go in the bin where it belongs.

Just an update and to give you guys some giggles. Looks like we are gonna hire McLaren. Fortunately though, it seems as though he will be head coach under a soon to be appointed director of football so he can't throw all our money away on players like Matt Derbyshire et al.

andyp, serious question, has the fact that you've overcome the early season injuries and still top the league, whilst actually playing decent football, mean the calls for Wenger's head will cease. His contract is due for extension, and nothing about his style has changed, so will the fans call for a younger, new face whose willing to spend that money burning a whole in wengers pocket, or does early season form and Ozil's arrival change everything?

think McClaren will be good for you Roboto.
His time at twente under a director of football, was good, and he's not threatened by them as some older british managers are. Hopefully if he does take over you'll play some attacking football -

Top top top trolling.

Thanks Corny. Without sounding too much like a broadsheet journo, he does have a point to prove in England. He also did well for us as coach under Jim Smith and was superb for us in his secret agent role as manager of Forest.

Yes.
More class from Liverpool. Probably the last team you'd expect to see someone who'd handballed it to do a Klose/De Rossi.
