This probably won't come to pass, but loving the fact that Torres may get a three game ban for the face scratch, as Mourinho tries to distract everyone by pointing at the red card challenge and accusing Big V of being a cheat...
-
• #89579
Everyone is bored witless by Mourinho now. Nothing he says is of any consequence. It will be doing Chelsea a favour if that useless muppet gets a ban though, so I hope he doesn't.
Though if it was Suarez every paper in the country would be running with it as their headlines, demanding a 38 game ban.
Our strike partnership is looking formidable.
As was said up there, wtf do we do if this does turn out to be our season? -
• #89580
Easy, you will bang on about it for the next ten years.

lol.
Kids are starting to take a real interest in football now. I was in Brent X the other day and I very nearly bought them a little Arsenal ball. Have a real dilemma. Are they Arsenal fans so I can take them to games or do I inflict Liverpool supporterdom on them?
Maybe one each -
• #89582
If you inflict Liverpool on them you may find the NSPCC and social services suddenly taking an interest in their wellbeing.

So if dad's team is passed down to the saucepans and dad is a gold-standard plastic, is the plasticity passed on too or are they cured of it under TEH RULEZ?
-
• #89584
Kids are cured and they get to forever carry a chip on their shoulder for growing up in London and being lumbered with a team that is not United.
-
• #89585
Very good to know. The level of plasticity is diluted down the ages
I found this useful sitehttp://www.hopewiser.com/proximity-search/
But Oh dear I live
3.7 miles from Barnet Football Club EN5 2DN 020 8449 6325
3.8 miles from Arsenal Football Club N5 1BU 0844 277 3625Shit. I better move 0.51 miles down the road..
Oh actually. Barnet FC have since moved to Edgware so Arsenal is now my nearest club. I could make my sons life so much easier by getting him some Arsenal crap. A 100% boneafide non-plastic

^ 2.8 miles from Charlton FC.... fuck that.
Have to go to the bottom of the second page to find the Baggies. Never mind.
-
• #89587
QPR is apparently 1.8 miles down the road and Chelsea is 3.6 miles.
The house I lived in was built for a former QPR player around the corner from where the club was founded.

Barnet is not a league side this season, surely** *teh rulez*** only stipulate league clubs.

So, er, what happened this weekend then?
I was in Essex. Can't have missed too much?

I won't impose Boro of my future offspring.

More class from Liverpool. Probably the last team you'd expect to see someone who'd handballed it to do a Klose/De Rossi.
If Suarez had done that, the world might have ended. Looked like an accident and his arm was down by his side. Shouldn't have stood but no one saw and no one reacted.. Goal.. onto 3 points gained while nearly everyone else dropped points.. ace

Well done to Liverpool ladies for winning the league yesterday as well.

great result for Albion at the weekend. if utd are going to lose a game then like to see the three points go to the baggies. no need to for anyone to panic.
i didn't catch much football over the weekend as was in Guernsey but did see the second half of the swansea v arsenal game. a great 45 mins of football.

So Utd have been papering over the cracks for years and Man City are as consistent as the British weather. Chelsea don't know what their best starting XI is. No hopes Liverpool and Arsenal suddenly leading the table. Funny old game.

Surprised by the early season form of Cardiff and Hull. Playing football and getting valuable points. I'd be worried if I was a Sunderland or WHU at this stage.
Could be a very interesting drop race this year with more than 5 teams involved to avoid the drop. Guessing the bookies will start paying out on Palace to go down by the end of October.
-
• #89598
Yeah West Ham could be in a bit of trouble unless they start scoring... Losing to Hull did them no favours, admittedly it was a dodgy pen but still.
-
• #89599
Personally don't think Palace should be afraid of the drop. More of their fans and the management shouldn't be focused solely on staying in the premiership. Play good football, give the fans something to cheer, if you stay up, stay up playing attacking football, if you go down, make sure you haven't spunked all your money trying to stay up.

A lesson Spurs should heed.
Already looking forward to taking three points at WHL, might even go to the game. Corny, any idea on how to get there?
