  • Spurs unwilling to lose all that good hair and great pace if they sell Bale so now are being linked to Erik Lamela. Not seen him play - Jaw?

  • as agger signals he's ready to leave

    nooooooooo

Not really... he was asked if Barca come in for you would you be interested.. "I'd always welcome interest from Barca etc etc who wouldn't"

It's standard manipulation he'll only go if fsg are willing to sell him. I would expect a lot of € for that to happen given he's our best defender and 2nd longest serving player

  • Also, someone else was writing how big/strong/muscular the Spurs midfield is now, Dembele, Sandro, Capoue, Paulinho are all big lads, with good technical skills, who can compete and harass and break up play but can also take on a defender and play accurate passes. Looking forward to seeing how the interplay matures as the season goes on.

Also we've been rumoured to be in for Lamela since the beginning of the window, probably the Baldini links, not sure if he's an out and out striker or an uber attacking midfielder, playing off the big man up front..

£20m sounds a bit high, but what do I know..

  • yeah the £15mn seems very low

  • @ pun That last sentence is crazy.

  • blackfoot - where do you think you will finish?

  • This time next week Liverpool's season will be over. I can't wait

  • Without Bale. And creeping over the line to 6th.

  • Ca$h moni£s in da bank tho.

  • ha, below liverpool ?

    COME ON

  • With no one to spend it on.

  • Talking of which, this is interesting for the saddos like Chalfie and me;

  • @aroogah Lamela review thingy

@DST, steady progression innit. Despite what Chalfie may think, not sure we're fucked if Bale goes, obviously the continuity of the first team and the way we play would be better if Bale stays, but think we're more rounded everywhere else, especially through the center of midfield. As I've said in previous seasons, challenging for top four, good cup run, trying to win the Europa League.

I'd love for us to make it into the Champions League but everyone apart from Man U and Arsenal so far have strengthened above us, so its going to be difficult to make the leap, but its modern football, so every team that doesn't have regular Champions League football is in the same boat..

  • A summary for those with the attention span of a gnat, Arsenal nearly have as much cash in the bank as the rest of the Premier League clubs combined.

  • ^this is all they needed. no words.

  • Can anyone point to a time when cornie's thoughts (not plagiarised writings) about football and position and players have been correct?

    Or anyone on here's really?

  • It did seem a little long winded and graph heavy.
People love graphs and charts though

  • Especially Chalfie

  • I liked them at University. Not mad about them now. Mostly marketing types and people who don't really know what they are doing use them to try to look smart or befuddle people, I find

  • Or anyone on here's really?

None of us are here for "teh accuraciez" - not even Pisti can predict his own behaviour (although the rest of us were right predicting the wetting of beds)

You're an optimistic sort. I admire that.

    I hope football goes bankrupt.

  • Pisti can't even predict who's going to be any good in his team let alone the rest
