  • Suarez forced his way out of Groningen, he forced his way out of Ajax and now he's doing the same thing again at Liverpool yet all those thick scousers seem surprised.

Gerrard allegedly turned down Bayern Munich, if this is true he's even thicker than I thought he was.

    Haha 'Scousers'??

What, all 12% of them....there's more people living in London supporting Liverpool

  • ^Tell us about Everton:

  • Fuck me, that the best you can do?

  • The difference is that the fee is really fair, £40m is a great deal for Liverpool, especially as you are in a rebuilding phase. Liverpool will not make the Top 4 this year - take the £40m and spend sensibly.

The Modric situation is not a great comparison different due the league position - Spurs were not in a rebuilding phase when Chelsea put in the initial bid - but he wanted to go so he was sold - to a club outside the league*. If Real came with a bid now for the same money as Aresenal, Suarez would be gone.

    • - Not turned out to be such a great move for Modric in the grand scheme of things anyway.

Fair? You think Cavani is £15M better? Thanks to Chelsea torres went for £50 whilst on a downward spiral. Suarez will get better due to his age/injury record. I'm sorry but IMO 40 doesn't cut it*.

*my opinion is worth fuck all here

I'm not sure how the situations are that far different: Both clubs outside of the CL both wanting in. Both clubs faced with selling their best player to a team with pretences of winning it. Either way my point stands: in both affairs the club is looking to do the best it can in the potential respective deals, no?

  • Fuck me, that the best you can do?

What do you mean? I have not come on here and got all bombastic on other clubs/members with insults just facts and sensible football chat. I'm genuinely asking about your club. You seem to have little to say of their affairs- unless you wanna just get back to trading insults?

  • Multi Grooves: 'facts and sensible football chat'

    *pisses pants

  • See Yeovil turned over your mob today mate, what stand were you in?

  • Spuds got turned over by the Monaco Globetrotters invitational team. At least the balance sheet will look healthy.

  • Good result for Spurs today. Who needs Bale?

  • See Swindon got off to a bad start today

  • Good to see your trolling is up to its usual uninspiring pissweak standards

  • Anyway, we've got Real Madrid tonight

    *proper football

Disciplinary record discount I'm afraid. League bans are like injury-prone-ness.

Will add more on the situational differences when not posting from phone.

  • Ahhhhh, so jugears hasn't completely erased us from his CV

    Gary Lineker ‏@GaryLineker 32m

Looking forward to seeing Real Madrid take on Everton at the home of the LA Dodgers. One of the great clubs of the world and Real Madrid.

  • TBH, I think he's doing some trolling on behalf of Barca

  • Arsenal booed off at half-time in a pre-season friendly. Nice to see the fans getting some pre-season training in too.

  • Nice...

  • The jubilant Arsenal fans wandering around Islington yesterday looking a little lost did not appear to be the usual bankers and lawyers that one associates with that club but rather a collection of single young men more used to solo pursuits in front of their computers.

Surprising that a Benitez side should throw away a 2-0 first half lead.

  • Anyway, we've got Real Madrid tonight

    *proper football

So, if it wasn't for Ronaldo's offside goal, Distin's 'goal' that was scandalously not given(Sol Campbell in the '98 WC v Argentina 'esque) and the ref giving a free-kick instead if a blatant peno cos it was a yard in the box....we would've won. Instead it finished:

    Everton 1 Real Madrid 2

How dare little old Everton beat Juve an Real to progress to the final

Oh, did I also mention that the ref was Spanish??!

  • It's all a conspiracy of European neo Fascists. I've been trying to tell you for ages.

  • Good to see we can mix it with the worlds best, even with Naismith and Heitinga both on the pitch for 90mins!

  • Er. Like they give a shitabout this tin pot "competition" you're. All involved in.

It's part ofa training program, they were probably at 70%. You keep thinking it's Really Real.

was speaking to a couple in the pub after the match.. one guy while nice was full of shit and was happy to sell on his ticket at a profit

  • Dempsey's off to Seattle for about what we paid Fulham for him. Shame to see him go, I know it took him a while to settle but be scored some vital goals and though be looked out of sorts, it felt like we didn't get the best out of him.
Is this another World Cup year thing, where players suddenly need first team football to be in with a shout of going to the upcoming big tournament and transfers are soon coming?

Right now it seems like we're shifting out players but it feels like the wrong ones, Caulker, even though we are down on center backs, Dempsey, an unconventional forward who scores goals, but may not fit into the new system, but has premier league experience..

Seems the weight is going to be placed squarely on the shoulders of holtby, siggurdson and Dembele.

Despite all the rumours of bids and interest players who I thought would be out the door, Livermore, Parker, Huddlestone and Asso-ekotto are still on the books.

Monaco spanked us last night, seems we weren't at the races at all. Which is slightly worrying when the season is two weeks away..

  • Pre-season friendlies are meaningless. Anyone who frets about their team in pre-season hasn't been listening to clintsmoker's sage advice.
