Arsenal v Galatasaray today
Glad I'm not around today, Islington will be like a warzone come teatime....last time they met in the UEFA Cup Final, Copenhagen got smashed to bits

• #85128
If only they did the same to the shithole thay is Islington.

Arsenal Galatasaray is tomorrow. And Copenhagen was never smashed up, there were a few scuffles, which the Daily Fail blew out of all proportion.

For the love of god at least post up-to-date articles. His lawyers were wrong and misunderstood the terms of the contract.

Unlike the nipples on here who trawl through years of posts to pull me up on comments, I simply can't be arsed
I know for a FACT that #1 & #2 Kopite helmets dicki and mikec have said it at least 18 times between them. Admittedly, I know they were jesting a couple of times

He's still jumping ship though

MG - with respect - if you're at the stage of combing through the contract for precise wording, the situation is completely and utterly fucked.

Oh FFS! When are you gonna wake up and realise that he's a class A cunt? He forced a move at Ajax and created his own whirlwind in the press like he's done the last few months...'Boo hoo this, Boo hoo that...'
He wants out, get used to it
Do you think you're posting cutting edge stuff? I said the bloke was a cunt well over a year ago. All we want (as anyone would for their own club) is to get the best deal it can in a timely fashion. The quote we both responded to is a repost and factually incorrect (bar the possibility of his handing in a transfer request). Hey good luck getting the funds together for Monsieur Barton.
Question:
Will he be doing a french accent or scouse???

Either way, it'll be better than yours

Or yours.

Suarez forced his way out of Groningen, he forced his way out of Ajax and now he's doing the same thing again at Liverpool yet all those thick scousers seem surprised.
Gerrard allegedly turned down Bayern Munich, if this is true he's even thicker than I thought he was.

Unless Jamie oliver is how people from Liverpool speak.

We all know they mess around a lot. Why are you unable to separate those that come to talk sensible from those in Lala land?
He's still jumping ship though
He's got his knee high boots, a skirt so short it's double price at the hairdresser and slap on. He's pimping himself to anyone that will listen....
"He's still jumping ship though"
Again, nothing new, detective.
The sole reason I'd want to keep him is because he does nothing to come second. His will to win is freakish in a world where players that have achieved ZERO but gain a first team contract are set for life (Stirling). So there is a some tiny hope that we can keep him because netting £50M when you on the outside looking in for the CL will not do much unless you've a strong scouting network.MG - with respect - if you're at the stage of combing through the contract for precise wording, the situation is completely and utterly fucked.
The situation went south when despite his, at times misguided backing from the club/fans he's chose to behave the way he has. I didn't hear any of you complaining when trying to extract another year from the quality player that was Modric. I didn't hear you moaning when Levy did the dance to get the best fee for Luca on behalf of your club. I don't get what's so different here.

He may well be. But all the noise coming out of Liverpool is that they are absolutely adamant they want to keep him.

The difference is that the fee is really fair, £40m is a great deal for Liverpool, especially as you are in a rebuilding phase. Liverpool will not make the Top 4 this year - take the £40m and spend sensibly.
The Modric situation is not a great comparison different due the league position - Spurs were not in a rebuilding phase when Chelsea put in the initial bid - but he wanted to go so he was sold - to a club outside the league*. If Real came with a bid now for the same money as Aresenal, Suarez would be gone.
- - Not turned out to be such a great move for Modric in the grand scheme of things anyway.

Course they wanna keep him. Not a lot they can do though when he wants to fuck off and hands in a transfer request
Not bad thanks mate
Beat Juve on Weds with Martinez playing 3-5-1-1, got Real Madrid tonight
Still, you must be looking forward to another Sky Super Bonanza Bonkers Plastic Season...all cosy down your local pub with loads of whoppers in Liverpool shirts talking about the good old days and hoping you'll get to finish above West Brom again
