  • Niall is the plastic Derby fan from 1D. We wouldn't stoop low enough to sign him for the team though. Nige would never let it happen..

He has played non-league football though, much like the rest of your squad.

  • Better than paying Prem wages on useless fucking units like Reid et al.

  • We have quite a few quality players now thank you very much

    this

    Yeah? Name 3

    Don't forget Shelvey's left

  • Couthino
    Agger
    Gerrard
    Suarez
    Sturridge
    Lucas
    Sterling

  • We have just put in a 21million bid for Diego Costa from Athletico. Is he any good? I expect not

  • Swansea looking pretty good pre-season. Bony netted twice in their Europa League qualifier. Michu got one as well. As a Dane, it's nice to see Laudrup doing well, he's pretty much a national hero.

  • Yep. It was nice to have football back on the TV. Had my eye on the game whilst I was faffing about with the bike

  • We have just put in a 21million bid for Diego Costa from Athletico. Is he any good? I expect not

10 goals in La Liga. I smell another Ngog/Morientes/Voronin.

  • I've been slagging Liverpool off a lot today. It's not intentional, I have nothing against you guys or the club, honestly.

  • Go back to munching herrings

  • We have just put in a 21million bid for Diego Costa from Athletico. Is he any good? I expect not

    He's another beast Mike.

Apparently he is the most hated player in La Liga...fact.

  • Nesbit, didn't see the match, but also have a soft spot for Laudrup, love what he's doing with Swansea, the style in which they play, the attacking ethos and the fact that a legendary player is actually making a mark as a manager. Guardiolaesque without the trophies and the best players of a generation playing in your team.

Really want him to do well and feel its only a matter of time before be gets a chance at a club with a bigger transfer budget and the prospect of regular champions league football..

  • Peter Jackson to turn Bale transfer into trilogy

    31-07-13

THE long-running saga of Gareth Bale’s journey from Spurs to Real Madrid is to be made into a film saga by Peter Jackson.

    One contract to bind him

The director who turned short farmers on a walk into a box office hit has already begun pre-production on the first film, detailing Bale’s plucky battle against the tyrannical club that pays him £110,000 a week.
Jackson said: “The trilogy is essentially a race between simple, good-hearted Welshman Bale and feral, once-human Luis Suarez for a massive contract with Real Madrid.
“The opening shot pans across the verdant, unspoilt greenery of heavy-manufacturing heartland Cardiff where a poor-but-happy Bale lives in his burrow on a high-rise housing estate.
“Flaxen-haired Savage the elf and wise old wizard Giggs the Grey launch our hero on his quest for a mountain of gold. He escapes the bitebeast Suarez by tricking him into thinking he has his heart in his hands by doing his trademark goal celebration.
“There was some worry with the finance people because, like with Harry Potter, we’re filming a story before it’s actually reached its conclusion. But Gareth has assured me the transfer will be completed by July 2015 at the very latest.”
Real Madrid, to be depicted as a giant glowing red eye in the heavens, said: “Can I just say that there’s no need for players to issue come-and-get-me statements through the media.
“We’re Real fucking Madrid. It doesn’t matter what you or your agent or your club or your wife says, if we want you we’ll get you.
The film A Universally Expected Journey, will be released at Christmas, going up against comedy Wenger’s Millions about a football manager trying to spend a fortune by August 31st.

  • Michu is ridiculously good and that Pozuelo goal wasn't half bad either.

  • so from last seasons " we can barely get one fit striker on the pitch " to this seasons " we could fill 2 through 11 with our forward attacking players " seem like liverpool are trying not to make the same mistake twice

is costa a move to keep suarez or are they resigned to letting him go ?

  • and it seems like the spice boys have morphed into the bad boys

suarez aspas costa ... all with a suspect temprement

    wonder how many games we'll finish with 8 / 9 / 10 men this season ?

  • Suarez hasn't been sent off for us; been banned to shit, but never sent off

  • the mans a saint

Crazy situation there. I used to work the bars (Strikers and Sky Blue Tavern) at HIghfield Rd when a student in Cov.

As a Derby fan I was there at the last game at HR (6-2) and next season against Derby at the Ricoh (5-1).

Never much affection for the club, but to read about the madness of late does make me feel a bit sorry for the fans who've followed them for years and have been hung out to dry by money grabbers on all sides.

  • MikeC, dicki

    here's Corny's take on Costa

oh dear, the first two paragraphs don't make for good reading ;-(

  • Who wants to be a fullkitwinner?

  • he might detract the attention away from suarez though

  • Who wants to be a fullkitwinner?
