  • Moyes, Fellaini and Baines are all fuckin off come July

They're too good for Everton anyway.

  • Interesting article on Celtic doing the Moneyball thing, and finding value where others aren't looking..

Obviously puts them in stark contrast to Rangers downfall, but also alot of middling/relegation fodder Premiership teams, I'm looking at you QPR, who are throwing money at players who don't seem that interested or hungry to help the club move forward, and in so doing further their own career, when a bigger club comes knocking, as it seems another premiership club on the cusp will come and offer them money to walk with them into relegation...

Neil Lennon is also a manager who seems to have done well and I'd be surprised if other english clubs didn't come a knocking, a manager who can take 4points off Barcelona should be on most chairman's list if they are looking at someone to take on the hot seat, did somebody mention Chelsea..

Anyway the mighty spurs managed to get past Newcastle with the help of Bale, who showed how opportunistic and quick he can be. Bit bemused by the whole Tottenham are a one man team, he's been in outstanding form the last month or two, but which team doesn't have a player like that, Utd Van Persie, Liverpool Suarez, Chelsea Mata, Swansea Michu, it seems a bit odd to be pointing out Bale's importance to us, yet forget how reliant every other team is on their star... (colour me confused)

Got the two way european glory that is Lyon, home and away, and I'll be there Thursday, looking for a good home performance, before a mini murderers row of fixtures, lots of london derbies coming up, which won't be easy to slip through..

Arsenal game is looking really important, what with them being only four points behind right now, and us looking to nip past Chelsea for third place and automatic qualification to the Champions League. Adebayor's going to have to repay some of that faith AVB has shown in him, and I'm hoping Holtby scores a couple, as he's shown he's got the skill, passing, and commitment, looks a good signing, if he could get into the goals, he'd take a load off our strikerless attack, and Mr Bale..

  • he's been offered £1mn if the catholic church stays amongst the top tier of religions next season

What with homosexual marriages and women being ordained (whatever next) he has a bit of a fight on his hands.

  • Infallibility will do wonders for his offshore accounts

  • bank accounts opened in vatican city under the name of baby jesus and tiddles

  • dicki, presumably you are too young to remember Banco Ambrosiano.

Loving that article, especially the where are they from bit. Commons apparently came from Scotland despite Celtic being his first Scottish club after previously playing for Derby and some other English club in the East Midlands. It was only while he was at Derby did Archie the geneologist Gemmil discovery Kris' Scottish ancestry and pack him off to the national training camp armed with a tartan necktie and a bottle of scotch.

The rest of the article was tl;dr and probably equally wrong as the graphic.

  • dicki, presumably you are too young to remember Banco Ambrosiano.

gods banker and blackfriars bridge ? .... and no i didn't google it

is that the one where the italian banker was found hanging under one of londons famous london's bridges

  • wasn't sure about the story behind the incident, but remember the scandal of the bloke hanging from news reports

  • dicki, presumably you are too young to remember Banco Ambrosiano.

Clive, no need to go that far back, Vatican Bank itself is rife with money laundering failings. Italian Banks stopped processing card payments for them at one point last year.

and Dickie ambrosiana was the original name of Inter.

  • Looking forward to tonight's game. Anything less than a 3 or 4 nil victory for the improving Liverpool will be a dissapointment

  • mike

open a window, put a lid on whatever solvent based product is giving off fumes.

  • I hope you are prepared to be dissappointed.

  • liverpool are currently 12 points behind the champions league spot yet are being talked up as challengers.. they haven't beaten a team in the top half of the table..

they are basically spurs of 5-6 years ago when we were challenging for eurpopa league and always getting dicked on by the sky 4 - (arse, manure, che$ki, and ironcialy liverpool).

Paddy power should pay out on them not qualifying for CL already..

  • Liverpool have an unrealistic/outside chance of 4th.. we just dominated 2 of the top 4 in our last 2 games... yet once we got in front couldn't hold on to the lead.

What's your point exactly young troll?

  • As for tonight, West Brom are on a shocking run of form... Liverpool starting to get home form back on track. It points to a lfc win. Yet my paranoia is starting to tingle

  • revenge time
    revenge o'clock

reverse fixtures from the 1st week of the season lets reverse the result

  • my point is the media talk up your chances and wax lyrical when you're a million miles away. what is the minimum gap you've had this season to a CL spot? 9 points?

Saying that I do have suarez, sturridge, and enrique in my fantasy team but i can see you drawing 2-2 tonight and losing 3-2 to swansea..

  • as long as we close the gap to everton it doesn't matter what the score is

    6 points and counting

  • Only a maniac or a fool would consider Liverpools chances of finishing in the top 4 this season anything more 5%.
As Dicki says. As long as we finish above Everton who had their (second) best ever start to a (Premier) league season and are currently not that far ahead of us after our worst ever start.
it would be nice to finish above Arsenal too

  • how many liverpool fans does it take to change a light bulb?

  • about 25 years ago ..................
