  • Why ? Because his political beliefs are somewhat at odds with The Guardian ?

He's entitled to his (fucked-up) views.

Yes, I read in The Guardian that he was a bad man and because I instinctively and unquestioningly go along with everything they say, I feel he should be fired.

Being a proud fascist is a bit different from disagreeing over economic policy.

  • I would absolutely love it if they got Owen

  • Living in the past worked out so well with Dalglish and Fowler, you can see why they'd be tempted to try it.

What's John Aldridge up to nowadays?

  • With 'Razor' Ruddock and Julian Dicks at the back!

  • With 'Razor' Ruddock and Julian Dicks at the back by the bar

    Fixed.

  • ...with strippers and bugle

  • we'll be signing a £35mn striker in the january transfer window

    • taps nose *
  • Hahahahaha! Cunt ^

  • no need for " taking the mickey " or didier dive-bar

  • ...with strippers and bugle

That was Frank "wee bit of charlie" McAvennie.

  • saw some cracking tele over the weekend just gone ......
watched brian clough's nottingham forest play southampton, on saturday morning on The Big Match Revisited ITV4 ... was a winter game, Martin O'Neill was looking good as a right winger right midfielder 75% of the forest players were wearing tight short sleeved shirts and tight shorts ... no fucking around with gloves / snoods / hats / thermal under wear
the whole pitch was covered in snow completely white needless to say an orange ball was present, the ball was bobbling all over the shop, players were doing those slides only school kids can do on the ice
it was comical but great to watch

    proper football

  • Yep, I'll take my hat off, he's been another shrewd Moyes buy @ £500k

He went off after 20mins on Sat and we lost all our shape. He's not been in a losing side for 28 games(inc back to his Utd days), he goes off then we lose

There's some fascinating stats on him, if I can be arsed to look for them

I really didn't see the potential in Gibson and he always looked out of depth at Man Utd but he's done well at Everton and what you say kind of sums it up..

Would it really be that much harder to be an above average player at Utd in midfield or is Ferguson's team too focussed on the play between Rooney and Scholes? There's too many midfielders that have come in at Utd and have failed.

Kagawa is going to be immense for them and he should really put that ginger non tackling genius that is Paul Scholes to retirement.

  • Chelsea started the season in the running for 7 trophies, we've already lost 2 of those...

    #notbarcelona

  • oh yeah fridays drubbing
    haven't mentioned that much

lets leave it that way huh

  • Darron Gibson is shite. Another two strikers is what we need Moyes you sweaty ginger cunt!

Already rumours he's the makeweight in Fellaini going to Utd, NOT Rodwell or Barkley

    *puts on The Anfield Rap

  • Does playing for England = world class?

Could he have stepped into the Galacticos team of Zidane et al?

  • Ashley Cole is world class.

In other news, it sounds as though plastic scousers have been ripping it out of each other:

  • steven gerrard is world class

they're arse fans who stabbed each other
    not your traditional london kopites

  • Wrong on two counts dicki.

  • was world class ?

  • Chelsea started the season in the running for 7 trophies, we've already lost 2 of those...

    #notbarcelona

The Charity Shield is not, and never has been, a fucking trophy.

  • OK, it's a dish.

Who pissed in your tea today?

  • Was wondering why there weren't more mentions of Chelsea's capitulation to Athletico Madrid. And also puts to shame those who believe that the Europa League is an easy cup to win...

Maybe Abramovich should have spent some of that hard earned on Falcao...

Also slightly upset by this match report,
    http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/sep/02/tottenham-hotspur-brad-friedel-hugo-lloris
which reads as an attempt to make mischief, as it seems that Friedel's outstanding display against Norwich, which was a game I thought we were going to win, has now put AVB's man management to the test, as Lloris wasn't an automatic start.

It feels like a non story to me, Lloris, deadline day signing, doesn't start for team he's just signed for, not least because Friedel is in a purple patch, and the manager hasn't seen enough from Lloris to make the switch immediately. Yes he is the man most likely, as he's almost 20yrs younger than Friedel, and cost a great deal more, so he's going to get his chance sooner rather than later, but if we believe football is a meritocracy, then he's got to change the managers mind on the training pitch and in games, rather than just because of the price tag and the expectation that comes with it...

apart from that Utd stole that game from Southampton, and I'm unsure how slipping whilst trying to defend can be labelled as a defensive error..
Van persie looks worth the money, Arsenal, diaby and Cazorla are looking to prove the wenger doubters wrong.
Swansea look a good bet for top six, and so do WBA. Gonna be a good season.

So many exciting new players have come this summer it's kind of unreal, the PL clubs have been able to keep it's top players and clubs have added to their squads. Most interesting part will be to see if the PL will start taking the EL for serious or if they'll forfeit it for 6 games of experience for their fringe players.

When you look at it objectively it's fair to say that most squads are stronger (other than some key personnel being sold eg. Spurs, Fulham & Arsenal)

The one team that could suffer as a result of this would be Liverpool (not trying to troll here). With their relatively small squad and EL adventures it leaves them in a dangerous situation and a couple of non results like they have it could turn out to be a Roy Hodgson MK II this year.
