Adebayor as a transfer, is the definition of a flop.
He has played well for Madrid and Spurs. But the guy is a fucking mercenary and I hate him. What I was trying to say, was that his transfer to Man city has to be one of the biggest financial failures in EPL history.
Surprisingly it was't a dig at Spurs.

Giroud, Podolski, Wilshere and Sagna all still injured.
BALLS.

Tenderloin didn't take it as such, despite what middle and Mikec state, he worked hard as a lone striker for spurs, willing to put in the work and lead the line, link play where possible and still get into double figures goal wise.
Yes it could have been because he wanted a new contract and payday and he may slip back into some old ways once the ink is dry, but I think also there is the realisation that there is no point in doing a Bogarde and just collecting the cash and not doing what you purport to love.Tenderloin he's not the worse transfer that city has made, look at bridge or boateng, Chelsea have made as many, when the big money comes down the pipe rarely is it used wisely, but no matter there's more where that came from..

Are you serious?!
Boateng was sold the season after he was bought for a profit, Bridge cost £10million and salary half of Adebayor's.
Man city will receive nothing from this transfer by the looks of things, so without taking wages into account it's negative £25million... -

RSC is the worst by a long way. Most of this is Mark Hughes fault, a fact that rarely gets mentioned, especially when the media were quizzing why he was sacked. It's because he's a shite manager.
Adebayor could've been good, but seemed to lose it when we got a decent manager on board, same as that Welsh shithouse Bellamy. Hughes is possibly the only manager on the planer who thinks RSC is any good as he signed him twice.
Bridge is like a lot of English players, has a very high opinion of himself, which isn't backed up in anyway.

How's Steve Clarke settling in at the Hawthorns?

Indeed. Can't wait. Hopefully we will do better this season.

There was a very good reason why Bridge (and SWP) were off loaded by Chelsea to City before City had money. Neither were capable of the top level. Bridge is simply not very bright. SWP was over hyped by his father.

Seems to be doing ok. Made some low key signings. He has promised more entertainment than last season which isn't difficult really. I'll be very happy to finish 17th and play exciting football than go through the Hodgson shite again.
Anyone know where the chat is about those cycling protesters on Friday?

So ManU are going to be sponsored by Chevrolet, the bankrupt car manufacturer currently enjoying a US Government bail out. Aon must feel a little left out in not having the US tax payer funding their sponsorship. Perhaps this is why they are moving to the UK.

£20m a year is still a decline on their kit deal with AON no?
Still a crazy amount of money whichever way you look at it.
Good move by the Yanks in my book, Chevrolet is trying to flog cars in Asia and Man Utd's exposure and fan base is huge over there. It's probably considered a steal by the Americans.

so the clubs broke, their owners are broke and their sponsors are broke
welcome to football in the 21st centuryit's broke-n

Chevrolet got a good deal providing Man Utd continue to qualify for the CL and keep challenging for domestic honours.

@tenderloin, so your definition of a flop is the money made or not on an expensive signing. Not how they played for the club before their release, or the relative value of their signing in relation to other players of their position..
Meh, seems like you've decided on your opinion and are going to stick to it, which is fair enough, enjoy the rest.. -

LFC have signed a 5mil deal with them as a secondary sponser over 4 years
