Andy Carroll off to WHAM on loan with a view to £17m transfer if they stay up. Wonder how that fits into Tenderloin's worst buy ever formula.

Oh Jesus.

Newcastle?

The fact that someone is and never was worth £35m to a team trying to get in the CL has nothing whatsoever to do with whether he is a good loan at £2m for a team trying to re-establish themselves in the PL.
If £2m is the fee for the loan, what percentage of the wages do West Ham pay (0%, 50%, 100%)? Makes a big difference. Is the £17m transfer fee after 1 year if West Ham stay up an option or set in stone?
Prediction - no deal - Carroll does not want to go anywhere but home.
Indeed, and given his 'refuelling habits' London probably ain't the ideal place.

can liverpool force him to go ?
he's plainly said he doesn't want to play for west ham
imagine a grumpy and shit andy carroll rather than just a shit onealthough the anger might fire him up a bit ..... think the hulk
-

God knows what Liverpool are doing over Carroll.
Some of their dealings in the transfer market are bordering on the insane -
• #63283
well they are just trying to sell him, nothing unusual about that
unfortunately he only wants to go home for his tea and see his mamthats where the problems start
or are they using west ham to force newcastles hand -
• #63284
I hope he goes to West Ham. He could help them stay up and I would much prefer West Ham to stay up than many other sides. He would also find that East London and Essex women don't take kindly to domestic violence and it may educate the unpleasant twerp.

-

Hang on, hang on - she is.
I've never knowingly yentzed a brass.
The only reason they left me sobbing was because of the dazzling array of apparatus they attempted to insert in my exit-hole.

Good bit of business by everton buying Pienaar back for 1.5 mil more than you sold him for
Still a value for money signing as he did play really well at the end of the season for them
-
• #63294
Ha! Paying £4.5m for a 30 year old midfielder is a lot, no? Looks like shifting Arteta has cost Everton quite a bit. I'm sure Pisti will disagree.
Pienaar did well in the 2nd half of the season but it's quite desperate if you ask me.
If Arsenal get anything more than £12m for van Persie I'd consider it extremely good business for them. A player who can hardly stay fit, doesn't want to extend his contract and who's had one really good season and some really mediocre ones previously. He's 29? and has got perhaps another 2 seasons left in him like last season and to pay £20m for that you'd have to be a few cans short of a six pack.
