Tenderloin, dear chap. Morgan is a ghastly and unprincipled fellow. Please don't encourage him by follwing him on Twitter.
THAT ^
but i admire your skill in understanding any of it, to me it looked like a serious of mistyped fake email addresses amongst the shipping report printed in yoot txt speak. No fucking sense whatsoever

All this talk of Abramovich getting bored and walking away at the same time as the Glazers are about to multiply their investment by floating on the Asian exchanges.
If anyone thinks that Abramovich has put a penny into Chelsea without knowing that he can recoup it and many more should he wish to withdraw tomorrow is living in a box. Abramovish's investment will earn him a tidy fortune to add to his already large one., should he ever wish to leave.
No doubt he would make a tidy penny but leave a gapping hole in Chelskis books for them to add debt too, would struggle to be the buying force you are with that just sat there in the back ground.. burning away...
I don't understand the gloating of Ars fans here about young players coming through. Recent history is showing us that those players will be using the club as a stepping stone before going on to 'bigger' clubs. As mentioned earlier Wenger missed the boat when Fergie gave Rooney that pay rise, when Abramovic and the manc sand kickers were able to pay eye watering fees ergo his project has and will continue to fail unless he wakes up, no?
Forgot to mention the profit he makes on selling them on, this is the selling club that finished above Liverpool year after year.. maybe they should have bought more of our rejects.
and No. he can't pay out that kind of money, i'd be very surprised if revenues from TV, and ticket stubs will rise to match that of players wages and transfer fees. and do big name players really win? City have invested a shit lot for an FA cup, Liverpool even more for um ahh.. and for all Chelsea have splashed out they had a year off last year, the core of Utd was VDS, Vidic and Giggs - no big money superstars.
Fucksake even Birmingham picked up silverware and Stoke were in with a chance.
Its not only here, Real have spent mentalist money on galactico superstar players, including a manager, and scraped a cup but got fucked over on a regular basis of a team fielding 8 home grown players.
It's fine details that will make the difference, not wholesale changes

Kyrgiakos sold to Wolfsburg.
Obviously he's getting on a bit, and I guess he wanted first team football, but as we've sold Ayala as well, that means we are pretty short of centre backs now, Carra, Agger, Skrtel and Wilson. I guess Kelly can play there as well if needed, but Johnson, Flanno, Robinson, Insua, Degen, Aurelio and Enrique are all just full backs/wing backs.
I wonder if this means we are signing Cahill, Shawcross or Dann?
Anyway, thanks for everything Soto.

My £10 on United to win every game they play has seen my inital outlay of £10 rise to £22.60 after 2 games :)

Good to see Spurs staying consistent. Last win at OT was in black and white.
VDV has been reading up on Roy of the Rovers a bit too much. -

As an added bonus, Tottenham are bottom :)

Are you betting the winnings from the previous on the next match?

Jimm, I think he is just banking the profits and putting a flat tenner on each time, otherwise it would be a £10 accumulator which would bust after the first win.
To make the accumulator work you need a team that wins week in week out like Derby have done in the first four games this season.
-
• #39216
I think he should accumulate and keep betting all winnings until the inevitable happens and he looses a couple of hundred quid. Would be amusing for the rest of us anyway.

So you're happy for your club to be a purely selling club? You can snipe all you want but you're rudderless right now. LFC have won more recently than yours. I'm not trying to dig arsenal out as this time 6 months - a year back lfc were in the firing line and could well end up back there. I don't like the the way ca$h is being spunked atm; the Henderson/Carroll money is embarrassing. However, I don't see what your modus operandi is. Wenger says, rightly, he doesn't want to spend on players that he doesn't rate any better than what he currently has but is his current squad currently all that?? Are you happy to bring up these awesome players only to have them leave as they hit their peaks*? Are you happy for Wenger to stay? How would you feel dropping out of the CL?
- I know few have left Arsenal and done big things.

No. I'm just putting a flat £10 on each time and keeping the money in the account. I'm just doing it out of interest really so see if the bookies have this kind of thing covered which I am sure they do. I expect to be +- about £50 come the end of the season

You've got to give Wenger one thing, he knows when to sell a player. So far I can only think of one player that he might regret selling too soon, Diarra.
Most others were shipped out at above market prices and didn't emulate the success they had at Arsenal. Overmars, Petit, Hleb, Flamini, Edu, Adebayor, Silva and there must be a few more.

Toure, Viera,
Edu,Flamini and Silva all left for free...
But I agree with the point.

Wenger is amazing at selling players, I read an article the other day that he had made upwards of £120 million in profit from players (pre fabregas).
-
• #39222
He needs to actually buy a few players in the next couple of weeks though and stop being so stubborn otherwise it's gonna be a very painful season for arsenal fans.

Upset, haven't been that nervous for a Spurs match for a while.
We matched Utd for the first 60mins, carrying as much of a threat as they did. Just our midfield got overrun after the 2nd goal, Livermore still needs to gain experience, and Krancjar is too lightweight there. I know I'm a advocate of attractive football, but you've got to earn the right to play, and Krancjar unlike Modric, can't make enough space or shield the ball well enough and too often gets caught in possession.
Think losing Walker at half time and bringing on Corluka affected us more than you'd imagine, Corluka is slow as a slow thing, trapped in treacle, and Walker offers us an outlet immediately, and with his pace was unsettling Utd, as well as being quick enough on the turn to track back either Nani or Young. 2nd goal came from Corluka losing it in Utd's half and not being quick enough to get back.
Really missed Huddlestone and Modric in the center to dictate things, Utd were there for the taking, but we just couldn't do the taking. VDV, as always was trying to win it by himself and both Bale and Lennon underwhelmed. Defoe looked sharp, but think he was trying to hard to bring other players into the play when he should get his head up and go for goal, and be selfish, that's what he's in the side for.
Overall a half decent performance, and we'll win more than we'll lose this season, not sure about how we'll do against City on Sunday, though. Think they might have a bit too much power in midfield for us if Huddlestone isn't there.
Disappointed but, we'll play worse and win this season...
Here endeth the report...

if wenger was managing west brom i'd think that was amazing. But the deal is this...he's managing a team that used to win the league and had serious eyes on the champions league. He has now turned them into a team that don't win any trophies and will struggle to finish top 4. The quality of their football is diminishing, their very talented players are leaving but they make a profit buy selling people on? This is a ridiculous position to be in.
Whether he buys or brings on the youth is irrelevant. He simply has to deliver success. He is failing and can't see the way forward. i.e. time to go and let somebody else do the job. All other fans are laughing and glad that Wenger is staying because it means more chance for the rest of us. -

The chant about Kaboul looking like Michael Jackson was excellent.
I thought Spurs played ok, but never really looked like scoring (Defoe hit post i guess)
De Gea still looks shaky, in the same way Schezney did sometimes last year, though De Gea is a vastly more experienced keeper.Wellbeck and Rooney look good, but Anderson is too much of a rolly-polly pudding to be their CM/ball winner/water carrier.
Young and Jones= good business thus far.
Spurs need a striker I'd still go for Rossi! (I wouldn't want Ade, but I guess that's what they're getting), Diarra will be excellent, I'd say another tricky winger (Marin, Martin, Diego etc...)
3 games in means nothing.
I have made so much money betting with Liverpool fans we would end up above them over the past 8 odd years i'd feel like i was doing my bit giving some back, topping up the benefit cheques and all that.. Not that it will happen of course, i have said it before and will say it again, we will get worse and the situation will get more dire before it gets better - You want to galvanise the attitude of a young team let the media and fans write them off, always bang on about signing better players and ask for the manager (who brought them on over the last 10 years) to be sacked.
Wenger has it all there for him...
