Manchester United £40million 4 year deal with DHL, to sponsor their training kit! Doesn't go against FFP as DHL are not a 'related party', so yet another way of manipulating the rules...

I have to agree. I think once Arsenal lose next weekend it will probably be a matter of hours before Arsene 'resigns'
arsene will not walk for a long time. He has his head shoved so far up his own ass. It must be dawning on him that it is his fault that they are in this position but self delusion is a strange animal. He controls Arsenal too much so until the board wake up and realise that actually he is not performing and hasn't done so for a long time and that there is plenty of life after Wenger he will stay in power causing more problems. Unless Arsenal deal with this quickly they will be in serious trouble. They are now a side that great players want to leave. I also think you have to read between the lines when players speak to the press. Actions speak louder than words and at Arsenal the players look deeply unhappy with Wenger and his tactics

Piers Morgan is an unmitigated c unit, and for all his smarmy know it all antics on twitter he just dropped a clanger stating that Nasri playing on weds will cost us 23million from Man City, but qualification to the champions league will gain us £25million. I don't know what world he exists on, but you do not gain £25million from simply getting to the champions league group stages.

Tenderloin, dear chap. Morgan is a ghastly and unprincipled fellow. Please don't encourage him by follwing him on Twitter.

All this talk of Abramovich getting bored and walking away at the same time as the Glazers are about to multiply their investment by floating on the Asian exchanges.
If anyone thinks that Abramovich has put a penny into Chelsea without knowing that he can recoup it and many more should he wish to withdraw tomorrow is living in a box. Abramovish's investment will earn him a tidy fortune to add to his already large one., should he ever wish to leave.

Are the Chelsea fans happy about the signing of Mata?
Yes, very much so, he'll give us that bit of wing play that was so badly lacking the last couple of seasons. His arrival should also motivate Malouda to do better.

I'm happy that I'll get to see yet another excellent player week in week out in the premier league, I would have very much liked to have seen him play for us. I believe he will be the heir to Andreas Iniesta, and can play the Moutinho role for AVB.

I don't understand the gloating of Ars fans here about young players coming through. Recent history is showing us that those players will be using the club as a stepping stone before going on to 'bigger' clubs. As mentioned earlier Wenger missed the boat when Fergie gave Rooney that pay rise, when Abramovic and the manc sand kickers were able to pay eye watering fees ergo his project has and will continue to fail unless he wakes up, no?
