did anyone see the england game yesterday ?
did henderson look like £20mn's worth ?young, good touch, occasional misplaced holywood ball.. looks promising got a good engine and made some good tackles
20 mil worth? not a chance (although I'm fairly certain it was 16, which is still too much)

See old baconface is after Rodwell now. Be good to get a nice little bidding war goin. £20m for a player that rarely starts in the first team would be good business, put the money towards Sidwell and Earnshaw

yes
noNext season is our season, confirmed by one of our own players :)

Luis Suarez says Liverpool can compete for the Premier League title next season if they repeat the form they showed in the second half of last term and everyone else plays as woefully as they did all last year.
Added a little bit for you there Mike, in case you forgot that ManU Chelsea and Arsenal were all pretty rubbish last season and only if they repeat that can Liverpool even dream.

I'd love to be a football manager. One of the few professions where you can completely fuck it up, yet still get linked with top jobs and huge salaries.

McClaren is a coup for us

Other jobs like that:
Politician
Top Banker
MonarchSadly, I am not qualified for any of those.

People in glass houses shouldnt throw rocks and all that but, do you reckon Moyes would get handed the money he recieves for Rodwell or would it go to paying off the debt.

They don't actually earn very much considering how important their job is, and how much they work. Certainly nothing compared to bankers and footballer managers.

Well, I'd say running the country is a fairly important job (I'm not commenting on how good or badly they do it).

Politicians can earn buckets either from being corrupt while in office or from lecture tours and non exec directorships afterwards or both.
Bit like some football managers really...

As I am sticking to my resolution not to speculate on who is signing for whom (whether managers or players) I have little to add to this thread at present.
Not wanting to talk about Liverpool, just wondered whether there was a club out there that we could discuss and rubbish. Derby would be too easy.
Swansea anyone?

Swap our failed England manager for yours?

Tranmere?
Agreed
Really?
Surely he is with you to prove his worth and hope to one day replace Nigel back at the club where he made his managerial name as Big Jim's assistant.
