  • we turned over sunderland and kept our top four credentials alive, so I was happy.
if anyone cares I will probably watch the spurs milan match in the coach and horses in hd hopefully. you are more than welcome to join me..

  • To be honest I think they will just stay up, but only by way of their early season form. I think Leicester had the highest points total to go down with 52, but usually 46-47 points is enough. Given that Derby only need about 11 points, although that's as many as they got in their memorable Premiership season...

Clough certainly seems to have lost the squad, no matter what Savage says publicly. You can't keep on coming out and berating your players to the press. Fair enough the first time he did, but he got no reaction from it, which suggests they don't want to play for him. And to top it off they got comfortably beaten by both their arch-rivals within weeks of each other.

League One is no plain sailing, we struggled (although in fairness we had Megson in charge) but look at the top of the Championship now, Norwich, Swansea, Leeds, Forest, Leicester. All of whom have recently been in League One. Maybe it could be good for Derby? ;)

Based on current form for last eight games and not forgetting they still had commons for most of that I can genuinely see them going down, they look like a team who are going to struggle to find a win anywhere at the moment and have no goal threat whatsoever.

They are averaging 0.62 points per game it's going to be really tight.

My money is on The sheep, the Dingles and Preston to go down.

On Davies you only have to look at where Preston and Derby are now and how we are doing to realise he massively overachieves wherever he goes.

He made some bad purchases but he had to take risks that Derby side getting promoted was a miracle they were struggling before he arrived much the same as Preston and us.

  • Massively overreaches?

insert chevrons and other things to tell you to politely fuck off.

  • whose up for a couple of palace games, ride down, pie and mash, watching some old soccerball..

    19 March?
C'mon Damo. We might not still be shit.

  • If by over reaching you mean, buying SHITE and putting them on good wages and then falling out with the board when he realises that he's bought shite and has to buy again to cover up, and then getting sacked but making it look like he's walked out, and then leaves the club in SHITE. yeah, massively over reaches.

I notice the "Billy is a short feisty glaswegian" stories have started in the Guardian recently. This has happened before, at Derby and Preston.

Before he fucks off and, like the Wizard of Oz, we see it's all fucking shit behind the mirrors, smoke and big voice.

    #you've been warned.

    Ramaye: in!

  • On our way from the Den to the Valley last year, some meathead walking his cross-bred staff shouted "German Cunt" at whoever was dressed in a german national football shirt as we cycled down a hill close to the stadium. I felt only marginally safer than him.

    Ilderton Rd.
Think yourselves lucky you don't go into the old Coldblow lane enterance from Old Kent Rd side of Ilderton: PROPER squeaky bum bumz.

Dunno about Palace, but some of the polo peeps have expressed an interest in going to Orient.

What you talkin about you caaant, that's your manor!!

  • I used to live round there. Was a little bit rough on match days.

I remember when Millwall got to the FA Cup final against The Scum.

They had a big 'Family Day' at the shopping centre in Surrey Quays.
Unbelievably, some fucking knob end turned up in a United shirt. I think he was Malaysian or something, didn't have a clue what was going on. I don't even think he realised that they were in the FA cup final. Totally clueless.

One of the locals had a bit of a word in his ear

  • bill, palace is one of my local teams so a trip to see the EEEEEgles would be fun.
Orient are a bit of a boot out, or so I'm led to believe which is why its not on the stadium ride, but I'm game for it, if it comes to pass.

You what? Been on the route both times

  • which ground isn't then?
must be getting it mixed up, was it dagenham and redbridge we omit?

    Brentford? Barnet? Watford? Palace?

  • One of the locals had a bit of a word in his ear

    More likely

  • Well, Watford, Barnet & Brentford aren't in London. Palace just about scrape in.

Ok, Palace. Could be a laugh. Date?

Orient's ground isn't very far at all for Hackney-ites, so I'll probably go to a game there anyway. Horatio & Max are up for it,

  • For Eagles wannabes/Souths maybe meet up there pre official ride to tick it off before hooning it into town for the main meet up

    Bill, I'm in.

  • looking at the table, the mighty spurs are two points behind city with a game in hand, so depending on how we go against milan, and whether we have a european weekend comedown, we could be as high as third come this weekend, and have a point over city.
Next games are Blackpool (a), Wolves (a), milan - cl (h), west ham (a), and wigan (a).
All of the league games are eminently winnable, against teams that we should be beating or that are going through their own relegation travails, down in the bottom half of the table.
Now I know counting your chickens and all, but I've got a feeling we could be in with a shout (of champions league football 2011/12) until the death.
Now just need to keep champions league football 2010/11 alive past this tie with Milan, missing Bale, Modric, and possibly VDV, it'll be an ask for the mighty spurs, as Milan seem to have been reinvigorated recently, and sit three points clear of Napoli at the top of serie a and 7and 8 points clear of lazio and inter in third and fourth..

  • bill get a listing. any particular games people want to go to?
Apologies for my lack of football stadia on football stadia ride, seems we did go to orient, there is photo of me outside the ground above.

  • i'd be up for a bit of orient action
the standing terraces there a few years back were great
so long since i stood in a ground
reminices about the good old days of the kop

  • Aren't Orient playing Arsenal in the FA Cup?

  • i reckon that'd be a sell out already

  • Yep, sold out this morning.
