The FFP rules are full of coulds and mights, there'll be no chance of banning clubs.

Platini added: "Last year in Abu Dhabi I met up with the owner of Manchester City and he promised they would live with the rules and regulations."

No doubt, but based on last years financial results only 4 prem teams would be allowed in. And the only one of them likely to make it is Arsenal. Manu, City, Spurs and Chelsea would be out on their ear, as of course would Barca and Real Madrid, and probably all Italian clubs.

prays fervently for that to happen

This is not right. As long as your expenditure does not vastly outweigh your turnover, then teams will be okay. That only really means that City and Chelsea will get banned. Abramovich is trying to get around this by setting up his handouts through a company as if they are long term loans which will get repaid. Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool will all be fine. United will be okay as their turnover is large enough to service their debt.

they only have to show that they will reduce their outgoing over several years anyway.

Hasn't Platini confirmed that the implementation of the rules for Spanish, French and Italian clubs will be a little more relaxed than for English ones?

'cos (as ever these days) he's all over the BBC whinging and complaining. Interviewed yesterday saying the stadium selection process is flawed. Also appearing on BBC Saturday football prog, in which he admitted he knew very little about football, then proceeded to pontificate at great length about football matters.
If I wasn't already not paying for a TV licence, I definitely wouldn't now.
Alans Sugars hissy fit on Sky News because poor little Tottenham have not been named preferred occupant for the Olympic Stadium is ACE!
"If Newham Council can contribute £40m to the WH scheme....then Harringay should give Tottenham a £250m mortgage over 25 years if the want Tottenham to stay" was just one of the gems.
Hahahaha.......the cockney melt!

Quite proud of this one and so a sneak preview before it hit the CSG site:
Fulham Away
Monday evening's weather is a little difficult to predict. Some indications are that, after a wet weekend, we should be in for a sunny but chilly snap. Other indications are that the wet mild weather may last a day longer and give rain and warm temperatures on Monday evening. Best bet is to look out side. If the sun is shining in the afternoon, wear warm clothing. If it is raining, wear waterproof stuff.
My mailbag has been full of questions in the last week or so. I have ignored most of them. Some things are best kept between my doctor and me. Others, only my wife will ever know. The most asked question, however, concerns hairbands. The answer is simple. Torres has given them up so that you don't need to start. There will be no discussion on this topic. Hairbands are inappropriate for middle aged balding men. Just accept the idea.
The next issue is a vexed one. I have spoken at length and with authority on the subject of snoods. They are not to be worn. They are banned among playing staff at Chelsea and should not be worn by supporters either. Even ManU have banned them, which sadly exposed Rooney's neck to us all. And then Platini steps in and suggests that UEFA will ban them.
I hate Platini and UEFA and so how should I react when he agrees with me? Should I countenance defiance or simply let his remarks pass? The answer is that morality comes from a higher authority than UEFA. The fact that UEFA have enunciated something that ought to have been apparent to everyone, does not denigrate the intrinsic morality of the situation. Don't wear snoods. If Platini told the world to drink water, it would not be reason to die of thirst. Mind you, the muppet is more likely to ban water and other refreshments during games that advocate something that might enhance performance and assist well being.
And so to Fulham, that refuge of rugby supporters and young Australian professionals. "I wanted to go and see premier league football and so I bought a season ticket to Fulham, you can see them all there. Wayne Rooney, Stevie Gerrard. It's great". It's difficult to hate Fulham. I can manage it. So can you.
Remember, you are Chelsea and Chelsea is style.

Maybe, after Lewis and Levy who own about 60% as Enic. David Sullivan is also a Spurs shareholder, funnily enough.
Like Barcelona? Eh Clive?
