  • You'd hope so.

  • Didn't see it

  • My point was more about how they were happy to support Suarez's racism, so condemning the Origi banner was a step in the right direction for those backwards reds.

  • Sure. But three weeks ago the level of racism aimed at Choudhury was more venomous and more widespread than one banner. A cynic might wonder whether Liverpool’s willingness to condemn racism depends on who the victim is and who they play for.

Expecting another “chip on the shoulder” response like last time I mentioned this...

  • Most depressed/upset I’ve been about spurs since pochettino’s arrival. Kept away from all media to do with our performances.
Also trying to avoid fans who’ve lost the plot re: player contracts/performances, substitutions, transfers, and have forgotten how far we’ve come in the six years under the sheriff.

  • Soton.

    Oof.

  • loved the hunger in the Leicester side to keep going for the jugular. brutal stuff. And some cracking goals too

  • I’ll take that

  • Left foot, right foot, header. Perfect hatty, really

  • got there in the end, spurs keeper made us work hard for it though

  • saving all those shots that were straight at him.

good game though and would say Liverpool edged it.

  • Did a quick bit of groundhopping this weekend. Rostock was a bit of a shit hole, but great crowd, decent football and cheap beer. Ostseestadion was nice.

  • Going to actual games?!?

  • League Cup seems amusing tonight.

  • what a cracker at anfield 5-5 at full time
great goals, last minute equaliser by origi
    fine penalties
    proper cup tie

  • I see that Derby have sacked Keogh (who is injured for the rest of the season) for gross misconduct but have kept the two players (who have a resale value and are not injured) who were actually drink-driving.

    Classy.

  • Practical, we’re not a mega rich PL club. Save wages, keep resalable assets.

  • My understanding is that the club requested that he take a cut in his £25k/wk wage for the year he's going to be off, he refused, then came the sacking.

The pub where the Derby players were drinking is my local, I can recommend it - great selection of beers.

  • Any upturn in trade of late? Like a small time version of the bar in Malta where Oliver Reed died.

  • Are you implying something about height?

  • Also.Divock Origi's first goal last night. Bit nice.

  • Just read about him. He wasn't driving, didn't run away from the scene and it was a club sanctioned drinking / bonding session.

I suspect an employment lawyer will be having a conversation with his employers imminently.

  • Other than the fact that he is Captain and may have different roles and responsibilities, it seems hard to square when the other two have not been sacked.

  • Got to say, running off and leaving your friend and captain seriously injured in the wreckage is proper shitehawk behaviour. I’d not want those pricks near me on the field or the dressing room. Can’t be helping team morale.

Obviously the shittiness of the drink driving goes without saying.
