  • Allez L'Om.

Fuck Atletico and their fascist fans.

  • Also, I think Moyes is the unluckier of the two managers gone today in some ways.

He's done a better job than Allardyce and probably had the respect of a lot of the fans too. He does have the huge silver lining of not having to manage West Ham any more though.

  • Marseille aren’t coming back from this. Griezmann has won this for atletico Madrid by himself. Wonder if he actually is off to Barcelona next season?

Ona championship note, lots of rumblings that we’ve made an agreement with Fulham to sign Sessegnon and loan him back if they come up to the premier league or take him ourselves if they don’t. So for that reason I’m supporting villa...

  • You should support Villa anyway, greatest team in the land!

That final isn't going down in history though is it, usually the Europa Finals are pretty entertaining.

  • Nice to see Torres bow out on a high.

  • payet touches trophy on the way onto the pitch
leaves said pitch injured 20 - 30 mins later

don't people know not to touch the trophy when entering the pitch
    it's bad luck

  • What's the proven reverse hex procedure for walking past the trophy onto the pitch? Simply not touching it is boring.

  • Avert eyes from it in an ostentacious manner.

  • Liverpool (hopefully) tempting fate by planning their victory parade well in advance.

  • It's definitely not organizing an open top bus parade. Why do we put ourselves through it?

  • Doesn’t this happen as a contingency with all clubs in finals, as it isn’t that easy to shut down a city centre at short notice? I suppose you wouldn’t know that if your club never competes for pots.

  • OK, call to any plastics out there who would like to see a football game played in a stadium.

I have a spare ticket for this evening's (Friday 18 May) Legends match at Stamford Bridge. Details below. If you would like to come (first come, only served) please text me. My phone number is in the phone number thread. 7:45 kick off. Meet in pub before hand.

Our Legends game against Inter Forever on Friday 18 May will now take
place in memory of Ray Wilkins.

Following the tragic passing of our former player, captain and
assistant coach earlier this month, the decision has been taken to
dedicate the match to Ray’s memory, with a donation to be made from
the Chelsea Foundation to Crohn’s & Colitis UK, as nominated by the
    Wilkins family.

The match brings together a host of former Chelsea players, with those
who played alongside and under Ray, both at Stamford Bridge and with
his other clubs, invited to be a part of the evening.

‘Ray Wilkins had blue blood in his veins and was known and loved by
many generations of Chelsea fans having started so young as a player,
and indeed as our captain, and then returned on more than one occasion
to be an assistant manager when he helped win several important
trophies,’ said Chelsea Chairman Bruce Buck.

‘Personally, I will always remember the celebrations with him when we
won competitions and his ability to explain the game was cherished by
    so many of us.

‘Ray is a true Chelsea legend, and therefore our Legends Game in May
is the perfect opportunity for the club and our supporters to pay
tribute to one of football’s great guys.’

Players from Ray's days as a Chelsea coach, such as Michael Ballack,
Eidur Gudjohnsen, Michael Essien and Juliano Belletti will be taking
    part.

The Legends match also brings together members of Chelsea’s triple
trophy-winning team of 1998 with a collection of Inter’s finest
players from the recent past, meaning we will see the likes of
Gianfranco Zola, Dennis Wise and player-manager Gianluca Vialli going
head to head with Javier Zanetti, Youri Djorkaeff and Francesco Toldo.

It is now two decades since the Blues lifted the League Cup, Cup
Winners’ Cup and Super Cup all in the same year. We are delighted to
be bringing that team back together to celebrate their achievements
and take on an Inter Forever side marking a 20th anniversary of their
own – they lifted the UEFA Cup in 1998 with a 3-0 win over Italian
    rivals Lazio.

Tickets for the match are available from just £20 for adults and £10
for concessions, and matchday hospitality packages start from just £98
    including VAT.

All proceeds from the game will go towards the Chelsea Foundation,
which boasts one of the most extensive community programmes in sport,
helping improve the lives of more than one million young people all
    over the world each year.

    Kick-off 7.45pm

Format 80-minute match - penalties to determine the winner if scores
    are level at full-time.

  • Would love to be at this, it'll be fantastic... Enjoy, Clive!

  • platini. WAC.

Jaw-dropping. Michel Platini reveals the 1998 WC schedule was fixed so that France couldn't meet Brazil until the final; which he and his interviewer find very clever and funny. https://t.co/deCOWvgvRu

but hints at what most people think warm balls.
if they prove it was dodgy. do France have to hand back over the winners medals of 98?

  • proper wac, worst is when he's laughing saying you get benefits when it's at your house! Not a surprise, we all know how bent Fifa is.

  • Astonishing

  • Format 80-minute match - penalties to determine the winner if scores
    are level at full-time.

We've got them coming to Carrow Road on Sunday to play a Norwich City Legends side that appears to have been constructed by finding anyone that could still run around a bit and owns a pair of boots...looking forward to it!

We're also doing 80mins, but no penalties if the scores are level. How odd.

  • Good luck to Brackley town who have made the FA trophy final.

  • I have a spare ticket for this evening's (Friday 18 May) Legends match at Stamford Bridge. Details below.

What's the dress code? Bovver boots and Lonsdale bomber jackets?

  • anyone that could still run around a bit

    Is Harry Redknapp managing?

  • Given all the changes to PL (and fresh ex-PL teams) it can’t be long before he’s back can it?

  • Is big match this weekend?

  • A big hand for the return of 'Hair Island of the Year' perennial nominee Steve McClaren!
At least Athletico Mince will have an easy target for at least a couple of months.

  • No - next saturday.

  • No - next season.
