  • I was offered a couple this afternoon by someone at the CFC Foundation, but can't make it. Should be good, though...

  • Get in... Wemberley here we come.

  • I’m obviously happy, but that was a terrible game to watch. We are lucky Pulis is such a boring bastard and they had no plan B.

Great to get to the final though. We will have to be on form against Fulham mind, they looked good last night.
VP was jumping though, great atmosphere.

  • True. Efficient performance is probably the polite description. Restricting them to 2 shots on target over 2 games is great defence, but definitely a Bruce special performance.
Fulham will definitely be tougher - depends if we can mark Sessegnon and Cairney out of the game. Can easily see it going to penalties (for Jonny) unless we can sneak a first goal. Bit of Grealish magic and/or JT from a set piece then close it down please.

  • If Mike Dean refs it then anything could happen.

  • Everton are a bit ungrateful in getting rid of Sam - he saved their season and got them as high in the league as they're realistically ever going to get. A delusional bunch...

  • I know.
It's levels of investment, expectation, being in the wilderness, and being the third most interesting club on Merseyside.

  • Allardyce's reputation is set now, and he's getting paid handsomely for firefighting for six months..
If they'd played prettier football, and still stayed up, he'd still be in a job. I wonder if he ever gets another chance at a biggish club? Do the issues with his reputation/style of football mean any club with European/Top 6 aspirations would employ him? Or is he going to have to take a step back and build a club for a couple of years, maybe drop back down to the Championship and bring one of them back up, to gain fan's faith and gratitude, and patience...

  • Moyes gone as well...

  • On reflection i think the fact that Borough didn’t come out and go for it completely stifled us going forward. We were set up for the counter attacks and they consantly had 10/11 men behind the ball.

I’ve watched the Johnstone incident back and we are very lucky that Mike Dean is completely incompetent. Yes he let loads go on Grealish and carded Villa players unfairly imo, but if he had sent SJ packing the wheels may have come off.

  • I'm assuming @Markyboy has the same opinion about west ham fans..

  • Actually, I don't. They have my sympathy given the cunts they have to put up with running their club.

  • Markyboy, the voice of reason of the thread still I see.

  • I'm not so sure about that...

I did discover today that someone who does some work for me is the father of England U20 World Cup winner and Chelsea (on loan at Hull) defender, Fikayo Tomori. He kept that quiet.

  • Much like Arsenal fans.

  • Tomori

Not the most common surname around.

There was talk of him representing Nigeria at the World Cup potentiality?

Who wouldn’t want to play in this kit?
The home kit is a thing of beauty.

  • Everton were never in enough trouble that they needed to appoint Allardyce, the fans never wanted him and this was always going to happen.

Pretty sure we'll see Silva get canned within a year after the honeymoon period wears off but so long as he takes the attention from Dyche I'm happy with that.

  • I'd imagine getting out to Surrey would take ages from Wemberly. What's the best route then?

Leave immediately on the final whistle and not wait around for any presentation bullshit. The great advantage of losing.

  • No time for a chat with Neeks Sports?

  • Probably wise

  • Worn "Geoffrey Boycott "cleat.

  • I'm grateful. I just don't see him being there next season is beneficial to the club. We only wanted him for 6 months. He bartered to 18 months knowing he'd get the pay off. Fair play to him and his bank balance.

    Glad he's gone though.

  • Bt sport shows how much they value the Europa league final by having Robbie savage doing punditry on it.
The commentator who I think is Ian darke, isn’t much better, seems surprised that Marseille have brought a shit load of fans to the match, and that they have created a party atmosphere outside the ground. Get the feeling that commentator didn’t spend much time researching the teams, their history and fan base..
