Would these be any better than the BLB or Andel's as a budget crank set?

Mor £35 quid lasco's, powder coated white ftw!
Hope they are good, just got a set!Edit: Just looking at the shop, they sell only these lasco cranks, which states in the description 103mm bb axle, but the only bb they stock has 107mm axel, so be warned

You will have to keep us informed.

out of my own experience, these Lascos do work best with 103mm BB, but this gives a very good 42.5 chainline (i think?) i wouldn't expect for (107-103=)4mm of difference to be that critical

Anyone got any opinions on the Stronglight Track 2000 JIS chain sets
Or the Stronglight Mygal chain sets?http://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/showpart.asp?part=STROCHAT290

Oh ok then. This is my first build, so not had much experience with chainline. Also read in the review of another pair that the machining wasn't perfect so they would sit in a bit, so I guess that could be why?

well, maybe, but i know for sure that thos lascos were designed to give 42-43mm chainline when mated with 103mm BB, so just keep that in mind.

Yeah thats what I'm hoping for
Edit:
received them today and got a perfect chainline. Although they didn't come with crank bolts, and the dust covers are fugly! -

Yep, just like your typical Taiwanese hubs (system ex, formula, condor et all).
still good cranks for the money, same factory as the Andes one too.

these campa copies make me a little bit sick inside. not that they're not good (i never laid my hands on them) but still, it's like a blasphemy almost for me... i dunno, just an opinion
-
• #119
SR also made cranks that looked the same as the Campagnolo ones but a long time ago so they were the first to blaspheme. In fact, were Campagnolo even the first to make them?
-
• #120
Sugino also make similar design, as well as Shimano, it's nothing new really.
-
• #121
guys, you know exactly what i'm talking about - and that is newly manufactured campy copies
-
• #122
and campagnolo don't make them anymore, I'd rather get that than the old campag crank.
