Very, very nice. I like the shot of the spirit safe.
Also, you look very, very hearty fisherman-y.

I pretty much avoid all sherry finishes because of that. Doesn't suit my taste.

I drank some macallen for the first time in ages over the weekend, I used to really like it but was just so underwhelmed with it... I'd had a swms highland park beforehand but still, hugely disapointing... Tastes change I guess

If anyone is going through Gatwick and can get some duty free the whisky shop there had a great deal on Old Pulteny 21 year old.
I was passing through on the way to Jersey. I wanted to get a bottle of Lagavulin for my Dad for his xmas pressie, but the amazingly knowledgeable old guy there suggested I try this instead as Lagavulin was sold out (not producing enough for demand)
We usually drink Laphroig, Lagavulin, Talisker, Ardbeg etc. This stuff was delicious it's usually about £80/90 a pop but they were doing it for £50ish. It was so good I got my Dad to get me a bottle next time he flew and keep it for me till I could go pick it up. Definitely my recommendation of the moment at that price. There is no way I'd pay £90 for a bottle generally. Hmm just thinking about the peaty goodness is making me salivate.

Meet in there I reckon, I should be there about 7

Cool. I should be there perhaps a touch later - gotta see a man about a ship first. I have my membership card handy. D.Generate - can we convince you to come out for a wee dram?

I can swing by, but it would have to be earlier. I have a very early day tomorrow heading out for a client meeting. No one there before 7pm?

I've got to see a man about a dog after work, but surely a cheeky snifter at 7 wont hurt... nice cigar, how very relaxing

Wife is going stir crazy with a sick baby at home. I don't think I'll be able to get out tonight, guys.

I would like to point out that Clever Pun and I had an amazing evening last night. We drank free 30 year old single malts all night served by staff riding sparkly unicorns who whispered to us profound secrets of life and explained to us who really shot JFK.
Y'all missed out and should try to make the next one.

I reckon next time they'll let us try the £1000 a shot malt too

I've got some after works 'drinks' at a tapas bar, probably will be looking to bail pretty early from that. Anyone up for hitting the whisky club and having a cigar later in the evening?
