  • Nice one, I'll see you there.

  • Ran out of miyagikyo. Want to try something with a bit more oomph, maybe lagavulin or an ardbeg.

  • ^^ damn it, I'm not paid till tomorrow. Cannot spare the dorrah.

  • Can float you the dorrah....

  • Thanks, I am very tempted but it wouldn't be fair to Mrs Q to announce that I'll be out all night at this late stage. I didn't even mention it to her or put my name down due to the sure and certain knowledge that I would be skint this month.

Shame though, I remember thinking at the last Suntory tasting just how fabulous the Yamazaki 18 would be with a good cigar.

  • S'all good BQ. We still need to celebrate your new work situation. So sufficient notice is all I need.

  • I went for bottle of 10 year old Isle of Jura in the end as they were on offer in Waitrose.
Very nice drink, I found it similar to a Dhalwhinnie.
    Would recommend it

    Whisky made from lentils?

  • Lol.
Can you make alcohol from lentils? I expect so

  • Seeing the crossover in posters from the food thread, has anyone been to BBQ Whisky Beer at The Wargrave Arms in Marylebone?

    This and this and this

  • Oh wow!

  • Wow that looks superb. Sign me up.

  • In in in in in in in in in in in

  • Time for a list. I actually came here to post an Irish whiskey I bought recently, Teeling, a small batch blend from Dublin. Quite nice, very clean, and not overwhelming even at 46%. I usually drink Scotch malts but wanted to try something new. I live in SE10 and they are stocking it at Theatre of Wine on Trafalgar Road in east Greenwich. Would buy again.

  • Nom nom nom, must go there.

  • Possible combination Whisky and Bodeans (on diversion) event?

  • Could do Bodeans then SWC.

  • I was referring to the Whisky BBQ thing mentioned above. Then again, maybe so are you. Some of that lot would definitely do a Jacob's Ladder then go on for a whisky-themed BBQ.

  • Meat and Whisky?

    I'm so fucking in

  • Wednesday 21st or 28th.. thursday 29th

    choose and lets roll

  • All good for me. Try and book tables?

  • I'm planning on being there on the 7th.
Was going to just rock up around 6:30pm and hopefully get served.
Welcome to join me if you're free.

  • We are moving offices in a few weeks and will be near that place. BOOM.
