  • Also DFP - i notice you were after a frame with a 52cm top tube?
    I've got one.
It's made of 753 so it's really nice, I could probably do a swap for your frame dependent on the specific columbus tubing?

Definetely intrested, thats the main reason im fed up with it. Too big for me. Nice though, and very stiff for steel. Almost harsh! Its Columbus Chromor, sort of the workhorse tubing. Strong, stiff, double butted but not the lightest. It has nice lugs and a very special fork. The paint (just the white bits) is a bit tatty now from locking up.

If your frame is better I could add a little bit of money. Or I could just throw in the seatpost (funny size). I also have a selection of handlebars.

  • It looks like this with wheels on:

  • ^ nice looking frame..

My Azonic is now SOLD! cheers all.

If DFP isn't interested I potentially could be if you're selling (though, maybe after Xmas). Any pics/details? Sounds about my size, maybe a bit small, not sure :D

  • I'd possibly be interested in the frame DFP, or perhaps selling mine after christmas.
How much does the frame weigh do you know?
It looks a fairly high-end frame (top tube cable routing etc), do you know who built it?

  • I purchased it from tour de ville, a little boutique vintage bike shop in london. They said they picked it up with some other frames from a cycling club in belgium.

The livery on the frame says "markhorst elektro BV" which is a dutch electricity company. Perhaps it was a team sponsor?

The unusual steel aero crowned fork was also identical to that on some very fancy tomassini frames which were in the shop. The guys said they had only ever seen these forks on tomassini's and they were even rare on them.

So it puts an italian connection in the works!

Dont know anything else about the frame, but whats clear is that it seems to have connections all over europe!

  • Yeah fair enough - those forks look great.
I'd do a swap and include a seatpost - do you have any drops you could throw in perchance?
    Thanks.
Obviously you will have to decide whether you want to do the swap!
My frame is a gazelle champion mondial 753-frame, but it's in need of a paint job.
The original paint job is still intact beneath what appears to be white emulsion though, so you could quite easily take the white paint off.

  • **Exposure Joystick, Mk II, **used for about 18 months, still working well. See where you're going for only £80!!!!

Minoura rollers - RRP £150, used twice. Stay fit and raise your boredom threshold this winter for only £90!!!

Bump - final time I promise. Scheduled to go on Ebay tonight, so get in quick if you're interested.

  • Hi all.
Does anyone have any road pedals that i can borrow on the weekend of 11th and 12th?
something like a Look Keo or equivalent.....
Cheers. I'll shout you a beer.

  • If i sent my frame to the powder coaters to be chemically stripped/sand blasted but not coated
would i still need to protect the threads?

  • No.

  • Does anyone want to swap me something for these

They came with my new SE draft lite but I dont like toe straps or bear traps (pedal style)

  • If i sent my frame to the powder coaters to be chemically stripped/sand blasted but not coated

    No,

however i've known people send stuff off to be cleaned up and NOT powder coated and it's been donw for them, wheel bearing houses and all.

So you may want to incase of miscommunication insure your threads against a shiny new finish and cover them.

    maybe.

    what you after?

  • different pedals, some welggo DMR v8 copies or some flats or WHY

the toe clips can come off and be put on other pedals easily, I just have nooo interest in certain death having just got into the racer, signle speed or Fixie thing I like my feet free.

If you are riding fixed you would be wise to retain your feet in some manner, even if the straps are loose.

If you are not riding fixed, fair enough though.

I have some kona platform pedals (nearly new) you can have for cheap. £10ono

Well used Primo BMX pedals, the pins are worn down and pain free. £5ono

Hey, not riding fixed and doubt I will, it scares me alot. I need to get used to the different animal which a racer is from a mountain bike, then the single speed thing, then I may consider fixed,

Do you want these pedals DFP?
Can I dib the kona pedals, are you coming to polo clearing Saturday night or Polo sunday morn? £10 seems fair if they are near new.

also want a shorter stem (dunno measurements on my draft, will check with my calipers tomorrow.

£10 if you pick them up from highgate court Saturday after 5pm during court clearing and gritting or on Sunday at highgate, I live in Coventry, in Brum @ highgate for polo only really.

Or if you're not desperate could pick them up from the christmas beers on 17th?

Well given that I replied to your original request asking what you wanted to swap your pedals for, what do you think?
