Hi 44/17, I have dibs on your 700c dont listen to pistaboy ! :p I can't PM you. It doesn't show the link to do it. So could you Send me in private your details as soon as you want to sell it.

  • I think you have to have posted 3 times to activate PMing.

  • 3rd post then ! :) Looking forward to get this 700c if 44/17 sell it to me !

  • Fabien, I'll let you have first dibs as they were offered to you first, PM me as soon as you are able (there might be a time limit) Pistaboy has second dibs if it falls through, photo's and more details are below. As these are on my everyday bike, I'll be selling when my new wheels arrive, so that should be mid-week next week. I've got the day off on thursday so that would be the best time for collection. Can meet in town.
    **
    LANGSTER WHEELSET** £60
Unbranded hubs, Mavix CPX22 Rims, black spokes**. Flip flop rear so can be used fixed or free. Rims in good condition as seen in photos, hubs smooth,** threads in good condition**. **Solid wheelset, plenty of spokes so nice and tough for everyday use. No tyres

    **
    SCHWALBE BLIZZARD TYRES 700x23c **£10
Good condition, less than a couple of hundred miles use, no longer needed as upgraded to Durano pluses, basic but they do have a puncture protection strip, can probably dig out some free tubes if you'd like.

    **
    BONTRAGER RACE-LITE HARDCASES, 700x32c **£10
Slick, Good condition, plenty of life left in them, good quality puncture resistant tyres, polo maybe?

  • Thursday will be fine. Meeting in town around 5pm or whatever time suits you. (I will PM my adress if the forum allow me to send private message) I will get the 700c + the bontrager tyres. I might also get you rpm 110mm and your 3ttt podium quill stem (depending if it will fit on my frame, I just need to check the size of it). Great ! I finally start my build !! Looking forward to it.

  • Has anyone got an old 5 speed or 6 speed 700c backwheel for cheaps?

  • I'd like the Bontrage tyres....

  • I had first dibs on those tyres a couple months back but 44/17 changed their mind.

  • @ Fabien -I woulden't recommend the bontrager tyres with those wheels - There meant for 19-28c tyres, the Blizzards would be fine, but go for 25's or 28's if you wanted some more comfort

@DFP - Sorry, totally forgot, there yours if you still want them

  • Hi 44/17, I have dibs on your 700c dont listen to pistaboy ! :p I can't PM you.

We are both afflicted by the terrible disease known and windsurfing

  • @DFP - Sorry, totally forgot, there yours if you still want them

To be fair, I am happy with whoever gets there first.

What I really really need is the use of a italian BB threading tool, but no shop in birmingham seems to have one.

  • I'm either exposing my own ignorance or yours, but isn't Italian thread the same pitch/diameter as standard, and hence you'd just use the clockwise chaser of a British thread cutter?

  • I used to think it was the same just reversed. But nope, the diameter of the BB shells are about 2mm larger.

  • Well, I learned something.

The mere existence of Italian BBs makes me so angry that if I had my own way I'd refuse to stock, sell or repair any bike with them on. Stupid stupid stupid.

  • A lot of people silver solder a bsa thread insert into them when refurbing a frame

  • has anyone got a 19t cassette cog

  • I will have one, or at least something either side. I split up a road cassette to use a cog for SS. I live in moseley if you want to swing by.

  • that would be cool what do you want for it ?

  • Anyone got a 700c rear please? Fixed and in/with any condition/cog
