I've got some Shimano EF-29-8 EZ Fire shifters, which came on a 2005 Mongoose MTB. They're a shifter/brake lever combo. They've been kicking about in my parts crate for a few years but perfectly serviceable.

Would only really want enough to cover postage and a few beers (not likely to be in Brum any time soon).

I think you can get shimano copies from wellgo or VP pretty cheap, but normal shimano are mucho dollar.

When I told Neil the price of Shimano cleats he made a face like I'd pooed on his shoes.

I've seen that expression may times, think it's the default setting

Thanks, a great offer. I think I am going to try harder to find a usable position for my normal shifters on promenade bar. If it fails Ill be in touch.

I do, but I bought them and used them like three of four times, so I'd want cash money. But I devalued them by cutting them down, so not much - £7. They're tall though - 3" I reckon.

i've got some 297's you could stretch

I already need to stretch the 300's to 304. But as I only measured my ERD with a tape measure, I'd be willing to give it a shot.

At OYB I never do more than 1mm, but then, you're paying us, so....

Lol, well I havent measured the ERD nor the spokes that well. I was just going to hold my spoke up against pastry's, if its the same Id give a shot a building the wheel. I have two hubs, If they are too short with 1st choice, 2nd hub will get used.
