Probably about a grand once the chaser gets here and is registered. it needs an exhaust and o/s/f incicator lens though so when I get underneath it to do that I’ll assess and see if wants anything else doing.

Correction - I've got a minor fault on my MOT for the chip in the windscreen. I've been waiting for that to turn into a crack before doing anything about it, which it's refused to do for the three years that I've owned the car. Has anyone used one of those chip repair services, and if so was it any good?
-

I tried to get a chip repaired but it was apparently in the wrong place so necessitated the whole screen being replaced. £100 through my insurers with no effect on NCB.

I had a chip repaired that created a big crack, which apparently can sometimes happen. Booked through insurer, so was £100 and no NCB lost as per Dramatic_Hammer's experience

Yes, once. It was invisible once done.
I've also had the same experience as above, where the guy said that to repair a given chip he'd have to drill it out (or make it bigger somehow first), then fill that - easier to replace the whole thing for the cost of the excess. Car insurers sorted it all.

I only paid £250 for L444GTV for my ......Alfa GTV . Took me a while to justify it though,

Cheers chaps, I've emailed my insurer and asked which windscreen place they recommend.

Ok, if someone could check my working I'd appreciate it.
Recaro specify a maximum insertion into the bucket seat of the bolt that holds said seat to the side mounts, this is 21mm.
The bolts that they supply, with their side mounts, are 20mm, and the side mounts are 4mm.
This suggests that bolt length, - (side mount+washer) = 15mm of bolt needs to thread into the bucket seat.
And finally, with 10mm of spacers, plus 5mm of side mount, I need 30mm bolts to hit the target of 15mm of thread inside the seat.
Does this scan?
-
• #47899
yes, although, why 10mm spacer?
-
• #47900
The side mounts came with 5mm spacers, which I was going to use, but with 10mm I might be able to drop the seat so it's actually between the side mounts - at the moment it's just above the base of them.
Ahh the subtle car reveal.
They have very little in the way of ovlov personalised stuff... I wonder why!
