Car appreciation... the aesthetics, the engineering, etc

I assume it’s in the hope that the heater matrix is open, so it actually refills with coolant rather than becoming air locked as it won’t blow hot air if there isn’t coolant circulating in it.

Is there a procedure for refilling the coolant? I know it’s a 3 or 4 step process in my e46 as there’s several bleed points to stop there being air left in the system.

I suspect where he’s going with this is that if the heater was turned off when you blead the system then the valve that admits the water from the engine block to the heater matrix would have been shut. Starting to hand wave at this point- therefore there may be air pockets in the lines leading to/from the heater matrix which the water now can’t pass through? IDK, maybe the water in the heater matrix was stolen by the underpants gnomes and it’s now full of air. Something to do with ensuring the whole system is full of only the coolant and that air/air pockets are banished.

He stole the service history out of a mate's car and chipped him loads of money on it because he couldn't find the service history anywhere. A week later he's selling that car magically with full service history for loads more.

He's currently chatting shit about a mate's work on his car on the auto Alex podcast which is all made up. He tried to get my mate to do it for free for "exposure" and he said no, so they agreed a price that he would pay then when they got to the end, he didn't pay anything at all and all the nonsense about my mate "not replying" is bullshit, it's the other way around.

Another mate of mine's neighbour was selling an absolute mint E46 M3 and before my mate knew about what sort of guy he was, he put him in touch with Taylor. Taylor came round with a mate and didn't just try and chip him, he was rude to his face, told him his car was a bag of shit, tried to tell him he'd wasted his time even coming down there, told him he should charge him just for coming to look at the car.

I appreciate you have to hustle as a car salesman but that all sounds pretty damning.

Polestar ownership experience so far…

Driving - 9/10 - comfy, quiet, fast etc
Range - 6/10 - well under estimated range and only just better than my model y despite a 35 kWh bigger battery
Support - 1/10 - it arrived with an issue with the front camera (clearly didn’t bother with a PDI). No cruise control, matrix headlights, speed limit warnings, lane keep assist or emergency braking. Have spent since the 23rd just trying to get someone to help. Finally got the right people yesterday and it was collected just now. No idea when I’ll get it back.
