  • Not really that much to reveal, the number plate search gave it away.

    BMW X4

A 69 plate 'coupe suv'. I'm going straight to hell.

  • Oh, and it's a diesel...

  • I find myself tempted by an i-pace, purely for the novelty. Did you consider electric, or is the range not enough for your needs?

  • I did consider electric - even put £1k down for a polestar.

Then I found out we get a significant discount on new BMWs - more than 20% and preferential finance rates. It makes PCP deals ridiculously cheap.

None of the BMW electric cars have enough range for what I need so I went for basically a jacked up version of what I already have (4 gran coupe). Better ride, more space & the latest cabin design.

  • I did 2,500 miles in the 911 last year because I drive the C55 almost all the time - as I usually have a bike on the roof, or I'm wading through London traffic and it's a sort of rocket propelled sofa - so I can see the appeal.

  • Yeah - because of the discount, I've basically ticked almost every option box so I've got semi-autonomous driving as well as heads up display and loads of other fancy things. Should be nice and comfy

  • Brave, you have hit all the buttons there.

  • I thought this was interesting - which probably means it's really, really, epically dull.

I jacked the C55 up using the rear jacking point, and it lifted the whole side of the car, so I was able to remove both wheels on that side and replace them without letting the car down and moving the jack to the front.

  • ooooh I do hope it was VERY cheap.
You're going straight to hell for that . And everyone will hate you.
Is the autonomous driving mode "drive like I own the road " or is that just in Audis?

  • Because chassis stiffness. My Polo does it even easier since i had the cage put it (and oddly, the doors are harder to close)

  • I think I was thrown by some Volvo reference or other.

Well if you don't go straight to hell but decide to go via the Hawthorns give me a shout and I would be up for catching up over a game. And get to experience what modern motoring has become.

    Nice one dude!

  • what modern motoring has become.

Its texting and driving but safer*

*only for the people in the car

  • Sounds like a plan. Another year in the best league in Europe means your chances of seeing a win increase.

Would be great to catch up with you and @clintsmoker.

Let's see what the fixtures look like and pick something...

  • Selling my estate shed on here, incase anyone's interested:

  • Also.... I used to have a Qashqai

    You monster!

  • My brother used to work for Nissan.

Less than £120 a month for a fully loaded one (including insurance and servicing). Hard to say no...

Also - I kind of liked it 😱

  • Some of the more interesting machinery at Stonor Supercar Sunday

  • and a few more

  • and here is David Millar racing a Brompton in some half-arsed stunt to plug his new clothing brand

  • That Z8

    Lovely

  • this will happen. the other tim has moved out of the big smoke but much nearer the home ground. Will see him real soon and let him know we need to sort hookup in Aug.

    nice one

  • What do people think of these wheels?

I'm undecided - although this is possibly because I don't like the car as a whole.
