I think I'll put it on eBay tbh, starting bid of £75 because I'm a cheeky cunt and I spent a little bit of money fixing it.

Why not a w124 if you're tall? A mate of mine had to sell his 190 as he couldn't sit properly in it, think he's about 6'4 or so

Speaking of w124's. Mine is still losing power for a split second every now and again, esp in humid conditions. After speaking to my mechanic I've changed the ignition leads and the maf-sensor, but it hasn't worked. Can it be the ignition coils? Any other ideas?

tbh I'm about to have enough of keeping an old car running, but that said I can't think of a single car that I'll like more

I'm just a little over 6'2 so I'm not abnormally tall or anything, I'd totally go for a w124 if I could get insured at a decent price. I quite fancy the estate version too.

Mine was fantastic when it worked. Loved it.
There's a relay which causes your problem if it needs replacing/cleaning up. Well known issue.

I've checked all visible wires under the hood though and I'm yet to find anything cracked, but that doesn't mean I'm spared. Bet you've done your fair share of googling as well on this, do you know if it's every model between 92 and 98, or just a few? Guess this could've been the issue with yours as well, I recall you had a lot of random electric issues?

Also, if all looms between 92 and 98 are kaput, and the paint was water based from 95 all the way in to the early 00's, that means I need to find a w124 pre 92 if I want to stick to mercs... Or just bite the bullet and sort mine out
