Not sure I could own a car with "13" written on it.

Didn't have much choice on that... :)
I guess I could get a personalised plate: BMW CUNT or something similar.

Anyone up for Cadwell Park on 28th July?
-
• #16356
So I've been offered the chance to do a race licence thing, but it'd mean having to get to Silverstone. I don't have a car. Is there an easy way down there? Can't see one.

Train and bike...

Or rent a car for the duration of the course.

• #16359
Or ask someone on here who owns a car and see if you can get them involved - split the costs etc.

It's very pretty- would it fit your "powerful chassis"?

Boom:
I finally sold my E46 330ci from way up thread and replaced it with one of these in white too...
It's a 325d but it feels like it pulls much stronger than the 330. Really tempted to increase the 204 bhp to 300 though with a bit of help from these guys http://www.ecotune-scotland.co.uk/vehicles/cars -

There's one way to find out.
I am a year off buying something (at least). It's hard to beat the 2002 for the money I will have. Otherwise it's fwd. -

Nice! The 325d's do pull like trains.
Ours is the 116ED as it's the lowest for BIK tax and has great economy when needed. Having said that, it's still got a fair amount of torque at low range when in Sport mode.
Really pleased with it so far...

Enjoying mine too. Very impressed with the mpg - 39 v's 22 for pretty much identical driving conditions.
I think I got lucky. The car's just 2 years old and I bought it privately for a couple of k's under dealer prices with no worries about warranties as it's still got a year to go on the manufacturers. It's well speced and the seller didn't even realise some of the extras it had and so made a hash of his advert. The seller was the second owner yet the new reg doc came through as just one previous owner. Not sure how but it may have been down to a plate change. Another bonus! And before anyone tries to unnerve me it all stacks up on HPI etc. -

With better suspension it's a sub 8-minute Nurburgring car.

^^ 39's pretty good.
Mine has done 112miles of city driving so far and has averaged 55mpg. Motorway should be around 65mpg.

reckon this could be finished for another £1500? bucket seat, upgrade the brakes and suspension, some yokos and we have a track car
Looks lovely and would make a great car when finished but I'd suggest doing some research into the costs of essential items to finish it as well as costs to make it track worthy. I presume parts supply for things like glass and trim are good but I'm no expert. Guess you'd want to make sure the body was good as well but thats obbvious!
Would make a great 'everything' classic (track/touring/pop down the shop via a good b-road) and those looks are to die for!

You're a mad man. £1500 doesn't cover the add ons, let alone finishing the car!!

Yes!
Opentrack. Free tuition, photos, and food. Get it booked.
It's a 3 hour drive up there though.

I quite like the idea of this bit of kit that allows you to save the OEM mapping to swap back before sending the car in for a service thus hiding the fact it's been remapped and avoiding losing the remap if the dealer installs an update.
It's lovely. I only jest.
