Got the VR6 back - £480 by a local guy - better than £1100 that garage wanted. Happy days

Took him 3 weeks and I had to do a bit of running around, but I can live with that!

Congrats, 8 Ball. Enjoy it now!!
My friend who races in Time Attack's ECU guy has convinced me Megasquirt is a bad idea. He's currently really working on selling me a LINK ECU (people who make ViPEC) with a sweet 30% discount and big discount on RR tuning time. Looking at about 600 big boys all in. I know I want it, it's justifying that expenditure. Part of me is thinking it's too good a deal to miss out on as it would usually cost over a grand.
Took the MX5 out on track for a short session while up at Anglesey Circuit, it was international format. Ahem, DECIMATED everybody else apart from a 500 bhp EVO. Managed to only get about 1 corner ahead of me though. I think I would have been closer to him had I remembered to adjust my suspension from road setup, and I was having too much fun hanging the back out on every corner.

Have Vulva ever made a V8?
Yep, in the latest XC90 and S80 I think, maybe the S60.
It's a development of the whiteblock modular alloy engines- 4/5/6/8 cylinder configurations.

Not the S60 afaik.
4.4 n/a built by Yamaha to the ovlov design. 315hp which is a bit puny when it only puts out 324lb/ftApparently also used in a Noble with a couple of turbos to push it to 650hp

Small for a V8 though in terms of displacement, hence the torque for the NA.
Interesting engine, and now cheap enough to start using by the modifying crowd

Bonza.
My rear suspension is still full of canaries, I'm tempted to ignore it until the noise gets louder.

B&D after the restowork I look in to some proper storage, with air flow and controlled moisture.

If I did that then I should strip out the Nivo's and go to coilovers.
This might slightly compromise the load lugging ability- unless I drove to Wickes, took the wheels off, moved the ride heigh right up, wheels back, on, then filled the boot with bags of cement.
