Yes, if you come out of Maggies, and do a right the garage is effectively round the back of the restaurant.

Oh this little convoy was leaving for the Hayride just as I got back to the Workshop. The rod has a 500+ci RB stroker motor a lot like mine, the rest is all scratch built by the workshop - it's a wonderfully evil piece of kit. (oh and that is mine on the far right, bonnet up and not working properly as usual :) )

Well almost picked the car up but looks like I'm going to need a bigger rad - overheats badly. Going to check the thermostat first but lack of cooling looks like the culprit. Runs STRONG though! Lights up the tyres when it kicks down to 2nd - feels like a jet propelled sofa and sounds quite phenomenal!!
Don't have much of a frame of reference when it comes to fast cars but I reckon a CBR600 would seriously struggle to get away between 50 and a ton. Proper crushing thrust, nose up, bit of smoke and away. Going to be a pain off the line, converter and engine are begging for some 3.73s or higher. It's just going to melt a couple of trenches in the tarmac at the moment...no chance of hooking at all. Soundtrack with the top down is the devils buttermilk. Should be gutted I'm not driving home rather than sat at Andover station but still all smiles....magic little run. Probably only 20miles but still a couple of gallons of optimax well combusted.
I am gnnnnnn-ing at this.

Always wanted to go to the Hayride! Mudfest again this year I'm guessing...

Made an appointment to go and see a 57 plate RX8 later, but to be honest the absolute straight out of the 'Dummies guide to Sales spiel' bollocks I got from the guy I spoke to I might just not. Seriously, do they really still trot out the same old cobblers about 'I've already got someone interested in it, but I like the sound of you, so if you wanna see it first'??!!
Ho hum

That road tax on the RX8 really puts me off. Was close to buying one before that point.
Is the RX7 the same?

^ that is awful reading
In other news I may have someone to work on the VR6 for half what the garage wanted - if I can get the power steering pipes myself, and the before back box, I might be in with a shot of getting it fixed. Then sell it I reckon.

Where do you live and what's the full run down?
If you can get all non-bodywork/rust work done then it should be affordable?

• #11323
I absolutely fucking love a tunnel ram. Bitches to set up for regular driving though. The inside is just as cool as the outside, I'll try and snap some pictures next time. Unmatching period dials and gauges beautifully molded into an old rear light cluster for a dash. Hawt. The chopped Merc behind is a joy as well, love the sound of a well tuned flattie.

Delete the back box- "test pipe" section?
There is a garage on Old Court Place, off Kensington High St and Kensington Church St, that does all the mod work for the Arabs and Russian supercar owners, crazy wrap jobs etc.
Not a fan of most of the stuff they do, some of which makes mansouri look tame, but it is off the highest quality.
Can't remember what it is called, and it's very discreet with no obvious signage.
