there are a few in Arnold Clark near me - 2007/2008 model year, mileage in the late twenties, approx 5K - why so cheap?

Have seen 2007's going for below two grand running. A car friends neighbours son, now that sounds a bit bloke down the pub, bought one for £1600 got rid of it after a month (short time) as it was too expensive to run, mpg wise and its the highest road tax (yeah road fund licence) payment as the emissions are high. Actually thats what killed it off in the end.

Quick look at gumtree and the prices really seem to have dropped from 6 months ago.

Classics on the Common last night in Harpenden, well worth the train ride out of London for a good couple of hours perving (and a bacon bap)
That's always a good show, my ex lived in Harpenden, and it was good weather for it. Didn't know it was on or I would have seen you there.

if I get a good pay out from road accident,
strongly considering picking up a boxster of some sort, for the sole reason of taking out in the new forest every winter weekend morning.win. -

Used to do classics on the common with the Luton Lambretta Club. It's a good meet if the weather is kind.

This caught my eye, total lust, bit beyond me financially at the moment, well not really but I can't justify it to Mrs Glover when we're trying to by a house

you get a lot of that - love scooters, hate 99% of the bellends that ride them

I can dig that, lots of tragic ex-mods/skins who went down the NF/BNP route, or dabbled with it at least

I dunno, I don't want to lay blame at the working classes* but it was and still is quite a working class thing and very much a cheap form of transport - the Leeds and other northern city scooter clubs and forums are the worst for it I have to say
- by that I mean in the traditional sense of British class system

Well almost picked the car up but looks like I'm going to need a bigger rad - overheats badly. Going to check the thermostat first but lack of cooling looks like the culprit. Runs STRONG though! Lights up the tyres when it kicks down to 2nd - feels like a jet propelled sofa and sounds quite phenomenal!!

Don't have much of a frame of reference when it comes to fast cars but I reckon a CBR600 would seriously struggle to get away between 50 and a ton. Proper crushing thrust, nose up, bit of smoke and away. Going to be a pain off the line, converter and engine are begging for some 3.73s or higher. It's just going to melt a couple of trenches in the tarmac at the moment...no chance of hooking at all. Soundtrack with the top down is the devils buttermilk. Should be gutted I'm not driving home rather than sat at Andover station but still all smiles....magic little run. Probably only 20miles but still a couple of gallons of optimax well combusted.

My mother is currently not having much fun with AI Claim Solutions, they are insistent that they have to write her car off as it is too expensive to repair, despite the fact that they are acting for the negligent party.
No idea about the using oil, I know they do less than 20 to the gallon....but its a fun 20.
Often thought about buying an RX8 with a bust engine, to rebuild as I've never rebuilt a wankel engine. But they aren't cheap enough for me to make any money on the car to make it worth the effort, as you can get them so cheap (looking around) with a working engine.
