  • Cry Me A River this weekend! So excited. I've just spent a week in Berlin and have spent way too much on records, got some fucking bangers though!

  • can't go to CMAR because of work, so gutted. first time in like 4 years.

nails last night was HEAVY. so happy i finally got to see them

  • birthdays is a fucking wank venue though

  • 1) I can't be bothered trawling through 11 pages but John Brannon's Twitter is my favourite - https://twitter.com/RealJohnBrannon

    2) I can't get into that new Fucked Up record

  • My band just put out a 7", FFO: Void/Faith/80s hardcore

We're playing in whitechapel on friday with Renounced add xRepentancex. Would be cool to meet forum people at shows

Yep. If you stand any further back than the bar the sound is atrocious and ok at best on the other side, which means being in the pit. Given the bar extends about halfway down the venue I'd say that's a slight issue.

    Nails still ruled though.

  • I wish I lived in London so I could go to this. I saw Old Soul twice last week in Germany and they were absolutely incredible. Me and Goliath, Sky:Lark and Cassus are great too.

  • If anyone is into 90's hardcore like Outspoken and Turning Point then listen to Guidance

London hardcore, new LP will be the best this year

Also is anyone seeing Judge at the end of the month?

  • Yesterday my band released our demo. There's a link at the bottom if you'd like to have a listen. If you like it (or if you don't) please donate a pound or whatever you can to Mind. Cady is a band that suffers a lot, both directly and indirectly from mental health issues and we don't ask a penny for our music but anything that goes towards helping people with metal health issues feel less alone would be appreciated beyond words. You can either donate directly to Mind or pay what you like for a download and every penny will go to them.

  • did you go to this in the end? never seen celeste live, gutted!

i stopped putting out records a couple of years ago but i recently put out a 7" of my friend's band now that i've firmly graduated into an old lady who listens to nothing but boring instrumental music - if you like this too (there's not a post-rock thread but w/e close enough to hardcore & punk rite) and you want a listen you can find it through here

  • A New Yorker article on New York hardcore - http://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2015/03/09/united-blood

  • @clockwork_killa still got your records by the way from xdomx!

  • just clocked this thread - if by chance anyone is interested in forming a band or going to shows and standing at the back and judging all the merchcore kids lets talk.

link to last band here: https://open.spotify.com/album/0sJ4nP6xPL7Ch1pszfozRj

  • should have known by the shai hulud shirt last week. are you going to MLIW in april?

  • hmmm, I'm not sure - reunions aren't #legit surely (unless it's slint which was fully backed)? it'd be good to attend more shows with people though, so let's say yes and I'll bury my cynicism under a blanket of good vibes and nostalgia.

  • Sounds good, my bands just ended so trying to get another one together, what do you play?

I think I was chatting to you the other day at St Pauls, I'll post on here any other shows coming up
