They already are rounded up into concentrated areas.
Sorry, I always do this. I was being a bit too subtle.
I'm always a bit torn by this stuff. However, one thing people shouldnt do when trying to understand the route causes is to justify this behaviour. They ARE a bunch of cunts. Yes, maybe this is an expression of rage and frustriayion from a disenfranchised section of society with little to no visible options. But they are also a bunch of cunts.

Basically, I am arguing on the one hand, there is more to this than a simple class of sub-humans. People do not exist independent of their surroundings and something has made this way of acting possible.
You're preaching to the converted as far as I'm concerned. BUT, these are adults (and a few minors, unfortunately) who, basically should know better, and they have the faculties to make better judgements. I understand that the situations that make this possible need to be thoroughly looked at, but as an isolated series of events there is nowhere to hide ethically.

Really? Or is it just because they're cunts?
Really. Cunts thrive in times like these, and are also created.

You're right, that there's obviously some extremely maladjusted morals at play, but adults are able to make choices about basic rights and wrongs. For me, anyone who intentionally steals or causes harm to others and their property forfeits their right to be taken seriously as a citizen.

My gut reaction to what your saying is that you sound like a liberal apologist. This is not a political protest, it's bandwagon thievery. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm all for addressing the misfortunes or socio-political situations that cause this, but these are broad, long-term issues. Setting fire to public transport and looting an indepedent business is not a reasonable or even a coherent response. We can all stroke our beards (not aimed at you personally, Horatio! I just remembered you have a beard) and say "yes, but what causes this greed?" or "why do these people think it's ok to do this?", but there will be people far worse off, who have been fucked over by the government to a much greater extent, who still have a level of dignity and respect for themselves and others not to act like complete, fucking, cunts.
Instead of giving me a label ("liberal apologist") which has no other use than belittle my opinions and perspective, maybe you too can take a break from attacking people you don't know who are motivated for reasons you are guessing (although they may be 100% accurate) and try and come to grips with what is wrong with the city you live in in that would allow something like this to happen. You may dismiss my opinions/actions/option as "long term" and perhaps even futile (not your word), but the other opinions/actions/options seems to verge from crude and dismissive to disgusting.
Of course riots are bad, and let's hope they stop/are stopped. But they are happening for a reason other than "I want a TV!" I know this for a fact, because if that's all it was, I would be out there trying to get me a TV.

Is this where we are all forced to agree, by some impression of reasoned debate, that pocketing some post-it notes from work is as bad as emptying then burning down someone's shop/livelihood?

(We're watching you Vee)I'm in charge of the stationery cupboard and I know who the looters are. Today they are the ones who are outraged at the looters in the news.

Don't worry H, rumours are the mob will be passing through Stratford about 7.30 tonight. They'll be knocking over Sainsbury's ... much higher grade of foodstuffs
