Maybe the police could take preventative measures and round these people into some sort of concentrated area. That way they'd be easier to manage.
Like it, could this concentrated area be a camp of some sort maybe?

"...But it is not enough for me to stand before you tonight and condemn riots. It could be morally irresponsible for me to do that without, at the same time, condemning the contingent, intolerable conditions that exist in our society. These conditions are the things that cause individuals to feel that they have no other alternative than to engage in violent rebellions to get attention. And I must say tonight that a riot is the language of the unheard."

I bet every one of those cunts is on the dole too
Of course they're on the fucking dole. When they're not drug dealing or beating people up.
They should make 'scum bag' a full time job in the UK. Give these people a bit of self worth and cut the unemployment rate in one go -

Some may say the same thing about you.
......and that reason isn't simply "they're cunts."Yes and no.
IMO the main things that are different are, 1) levels of unemployment; 2) the level's of legal and accepted discrimination in France, and 3) levels of police brutality.
It's a little like when people relate UK ghetto's to those in the States.

They already are rounded up into concentrated areas. It's already been said that if rioters made for Knightsbridge they'd be stopped immediately. There are at least 5 different London's, most of which wouldn't tolerate violence for a second. The others are the concentrated areas.

Pretty upsetting to be honest. These people aren't fit to vote.
like they've ever excercised that right
Like it, could this concentrated area be a camp of some sort maybe?

If anyone thinks this type of thing happens in a vacuum, they are mistaken. These people are supposed to be living in the same society as us. For some reason they believe it is okay to do this type of thing and have no moral problems with it. If you disagree with that outlook try and figure out why there is a gap in perspectives. I'm pretty sure it is there for a reason and that reason isn't simply "they're cunts."
This is precisely the kind of measured response I was eventually hoping to see in this thread re: riots. This place is starting to sound as reactionary as The Daily Mail.
You've got to ask the question "why is this happening?" Opportunism and mindless vandalism is certainly a big part of it, but it only goes so far in explaining why this is spreading.
That said, there's an awful lot of depressing, frightening and hilarious shit happening out there. This woman who works at Currys got nicked for looting from the shop she works in:

People are having a, imo, pretty fucked up gut reaction to this. These things happen in cities around the world all the time. Remember Paris in 2005? Remember how that was reported? The French state had let down the youth. Now it happens in London and they're cunts, should go straight to jail (or worse), and shouldn't be allowed to vote.

I was using France to illustrate people's ability to think a bit more rationally when it's not at home. I wasn't comparing the events as equivalents (although I do stand by the argument that this stuff has happened, and probably will continue to happen, in urban areas periodically).
Basically, I am arguing on the one hand, there is more to this than a simple class of sub-humans. People do not exist independent of their surroundings and something has made this way of acting possible. On the other hand, the gut instinct a lot of people are having ("lock them up and throw away the key") is insane and the opposite of what anyone should do (here's an article in the Globe and Mail (Canadian national news paper) from a couple of weeks ago about discussing youth incarceration and actually used the UK as an example in the face of mistakes Canada is about to make: http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/time-to-lead/time-to-lead-archives/canadas-youth-crime-plans-bewilder-international-observers/article2102822/).
I also listened to an interesting episode of Thinking Allowed a couple of weeks ago dealing with the Liverpool riots (http://www.endomondo.com/home). The timing may have been unfortunately apropos, but it's worth a listen to to maybe offer a perspective on what's happening now from the past.
Basically, I wish people would ease off on the outrage and stop offering easy answers that will do no one good.

My gut reaction to what your saying is that you sound like a liberal apologist. This is not a political protest, it's bandwagon thievery. Correct me if I'm wrong.
You're right, that there's obviously some extremely maladjusted morals at play, but adults are able to make choices about basic rights and wrongs. For me, anyone who intentionally steals or causes harm to others and their property forfeits their right to be taken seriously as a citizen.
I'm all for addressing the misfortunes or socio-political situations that cause this, but these are broad, long-term issues. Setting fire to public transport and looting an indepedent business is not a reasonable or even a coherent response. We can all stroke our beards (not aimed at you personally, Horatio! I just remembered you have a beard) and say "yes, but what causes this greed?" or "why do these people think it's ok to do this?", but there will be people far worse off, who have been fucked over by the government to a much greater extent, who still have a level of dignity and respect for themselves and others not to act like complete, fucking, cunts.
