One of the girls pictured is being a duck-lipped idiot.
My feelings on this article are mixed.

One of the girls pictured is being a duck-lipped slag.
My feelings on this article are mixed.
Really? Wow.

Would you deserve to die if there was one poor picture of you?

I sincerely hope that he meant the writing of the article rather than the incident being a mixed bag.

I'm not saying she deserved to die, just that the impression of her evoked in me by that photo does not motivate me to read the article at all, despite the precis given by the link poster.
I refuse to believe that less divisive appropriate photos of the victims do not exist. She can't have been duckfaced for every photo ever.

She's probably a slag in all of the photos of her tho, amirite? All the lack of duckfaces in the world wouldn't have brought back the virginity of what was clearly already damaged goods!
Wait, what?

edited, I draw no conclusions on their private lives based on that photo, but I maintain the duckface implies poor aesthetic judgement.
-
• #27160
^Quite right. Oliver should draw our attention to murder victims who share your aesthetic standards.
-
• #27161
they're children. you utter fucking twatlord.
-
• #27162
I don't really understand how the photo is divisive. It's a kid pulling a face that kids of her generation pull.
-
• #27163
Weird story, presumably some sort or argument or fight before, the cops must be sure of the facts to lay those charges.

You are being a weapons grade moron.
Pretty much every teenager ever pulls a face when having their photo taken, something most later regret in life.
Tragically, these two girls will never get that chance.

"face not compatible with my beliefs, death insignificant"
-
• #27166
Give him a break, he took back calling the dead child a slag.
-
• #27167
Ha.
I'm sure he didn't mean it in the way I, and others, have characterised it. I just found the whole thing slightly confusing as I can't see how the picture is divisive.
-
• #27168
It seems to divide those who can't accept the tendency of youth today to conflate ducklips with "attractive facial expression" when posing for a photo, from those who can see past it and read what I assume is a reasonably balanced article.
-
• #27169
but when you marry it with the content of the article the facial expression is inconsequential, no?

The content of the article? I didn't get that far. I can't put up with duckface on my screen.

Just this.

vapid, trivial and ultimately embarrassing for the poster; congratulations. you've just made the world's first intellectual duckface.

Given we'd rather such deaths didn't happen, wouldn't it be a good idea to select photos where the dearly departed look like valuable upstanding members of society?
-
• #27174
perhaps it is the only photo of them together?
-
• #27175
Hey, I've got a brilliant idea, use one photo of each victim?
There may be more to this case than has so far been reported, but here's another murder charge for killing vulnerable road users:
