The film of the crash is horrific.

That's scary.
Things that like always worry me - how easy it is for pilots, train drivers, anyone with the responsibility for others to have an off day and affect the lives of 100's of people.
There have been a couple of airline crashes where the pilot is suspected of crashing to commit suicide...

yeah I understand that, I dont quite get the outrage over the photo on his facebook at this point.

It is true that he may have been doing that speed when he was meant to, and people are jumping to conclusions I guess

Seems to me that its more mental that it didnt have that modern safety system before the bend even though it had it on a long straight leading up to it but rather an old system that warns the driver, I find it hard to believe that the 2 drivers would have ignored it if it had been working.

Or they were playing cards with a book on the throttle

BTW, the Clare Perry and Guido thing was worse than above, since Guido had actually only posted a screenshot of her site, not even a link. He pointed this out to her but she remained TOTALLY FUCKING CLUELESS.
It is too depressing for words.

Probably relying on some sort of warning system to indicate to slow down I would imagine which didn't work. I'm not absolving them of guilt in anyway but I dont think its fair judging someone by a facebook picture and a few off the cuff comments, especially something of this magnitude, I would rather wait until all the evidence has been gathered before casting judgement.

Argh fuck. Wish I hadn't read that!!!

Makes no difference mate. Murder through to a piano falling on your head. It's all just stuff happening. In no way is it better for you to die at the hands of a suicidal pilot than a heroic one.

Pilot suicide is relatively common, airlines are clued up on it and will act very quickly, so it is guys with ppls who are more likely to do it.
I once got paid to stay at posh house in Henley because the owner who was a very senior pilot with BA got caught with his trousers down and got kicked out by his wife. This guy then went a little bit west and started stalking his family, the police got involved and restraining orders were issued, before he was even served with the restraining order his pilots licence had been suspended and he was put on extended garding leave by BA. Naturally losing his family, job and home made him even more irrational than he already was so he only made things worse.

According to an article on the Register they're using the same guidelines as have been in place on Mobile networks for some time- so in the spirit of inquiry search for "MILF Apocalypse" on your smart phone.
If it's blocked on the phone then it'll be blocked on broadband.
(If, that is, you have not contacted your mobile network provider at some point in the past to facilitate bog-wanking).
When I was signing up for my mobile contract in a Vodafone shop, they was going through all the usual spiel and then got to the bit about the T&A blocker.
"oh, and by default there is an adult content blocker when surfing the web (looks me up and down) but I'll make sure that's turned off"
Still not sure if that was a good or bad thing.

It was the beard
-
• #24895
I was going to say the frantic, public masturbation but you're right, it was probably the beard.
-
• #24896
A beard, generally, is internationally accepted sign-language for "I enjoy frantic public masturbation"
-
• #24897
Would have been a lot worse if the sales person had looked at you up and down and said, "clearly well leave the adult content blocker on."
