Anyway, they might kill me- but they look pretty:

samllfury - Can you remember what nipples you used?
Internal alloy nipples. This means the drilling is smaller, as only the spoke head goes though. So less carbon + spoke tension issues. Also the hex head doesnt round so quickly. Installing the nipple washers was hell on earth.

I also buy spokes from the same guy, as it works out loads cheaper for me. Pillar steel spoke are very nice for the monies.

feck I'm pissed. Please take wheel advice with caution.

My wheels are based on the build below. The 24 hole rear has a classic 16 spoke 3x drive side which my rugy front row forward legs have yet to flex. From a builders point of view, both sides of the wheel have equal(ish) tension, which rocks. All the convenience of alloy clinchers, in a semi aero 1280g package.
http://forums.roadbikereview.com/wheels-tires/1280g-aero-clinchers-not-carbon-83250.html
I would'nt go with Ti spokes personally, and tuning the hubs sounds tricky. But with the parts I used, but with kinlin not carbon rims. You could have a rocking yet easy to live with wheelset.
Let me know if youwant more info, when I'm sober tomorrow ;)
Some interesting points of view in that thread. To be honest - I think I'll probably get something along the lines of what I was talking about above for everyday and training.. and if I decide to start racing or if I can afford it later, I might buy some carbon clinchers or build something similar to yours. To be really honest I need to lose about 2 stone before I can begin to think about lightweight wheels! I think the money would be better spent on coaching for the time being probably

Mine are built to be pretty solid (thus heavier than dammits), as I cant lose weight. But some lightweight alloy box sections for training and climbing, are in planning.

Planet X are great when everything goes right but their customer service is piss poor. I've been waiting 15 days for tyres from them and now their not even answering my e-mails.
Luckily I paid with Paypal, but its the last time I use them.

Brilliant deal.
There's a cheap upgrade to a carbon SLK seatpost (£2.50)
You have to ditch those heavy tyres for some Ultremo R1s (also around £2 upgrade)But what really bugs me is the cheap chainset they've used. Its probably fine technically speaking. But it doesnt fit on the Ti/red bling machine, looks shite. Sell it and buy this...
http://www.fudgescyclestore.com/index.php?p=72526&o=72502Also, take some time to consider your most suitable stem length.
(i'd also upgrade the cassette, and chain. But thats probs not so important)

http://www.planet-x-bikes.co.uk/i/q/BCPXFOR/planet-x-ultra-light-forged-brake-calipersI'd rather have the rival brakes.
The SLK cranks sound like a good deal. I dont know anything about them, thougth reviews arent great. Personnally I'd ride it and save for an upgrade. Regardless of RRP the Red is a better crankset.Compact bars make a massive difference IMHO. I'd ask about having these...

Planet X carbon track bike complete plus extra free set of 50mm carbon track wheels for £900. Crazy value.

Countering that my merino base layers have disappeared and they are insisting waiting full 3 weeks before even looking at refund/replace.

crikey. Value. Though they don't do themselves any favours with the way they set their bikes up for photoshoots do they - 20 meters of seatpost, spacers and a short + rise stem. Yuk
