According to the Fizik ad I saw recently. The range goes.....
Arione - very flexible rider
Antares - flexible rider
Aliante - less flexible riderAt least thats how the ad read. Seemed weird. Should have been more of a size thing like San Marco IMHO. Maybe I did'nt understand the ad?

Smallfurry, that San Marco looks good - any idea how good the padding is?
Havent tried it TBH. Its a bit too wide for my pert behind.
Theres a long review here.

Aliante looks awful. Wouldn't try it just in case it works and then I have to ruin my bike by adding spazzer saddle.
Fizik have something called the spine system, flexibility = saddle type.

I'm getting another Regal-E for the fixed cos I'm so in love with the one on my road bike.

I kinda get that. But plenty of flexible riders use the aliante, and plenty of nodders use the Arione. I'm sure I'm missing somethin here.

It's not about being a nodder it's about putting something wanky looking on my bike.

I have an Antares in London atm if anyone would like to try it...
I normally ride an Arione and I think I prefer the shape of the Antares, but I prefer the softer feeling of the Arione. Having said that - the Antares with decent shorts is almost perfect.
dan PM me if you'd like.

(by nodder I meant 'sit-up-and-beg-racer')

I've got this slightly older version of the SKN that you can still get cheap on eBay. It has zero padding, absolutely none, the synthetic cover is the only material in the construction.

After a saddle recommendation here.
In the past Ive ridden Rolls & Kashimax saddles which have felt good.
But my bike of the last 2 years has a Turbo on it.
I used to find the saddle super comfortable even on longish rides. But something unusual has happened, my gonads have *grown!!
*Well, now I cannot ride very far at all without discomfort. My balls have to hang to either the lft or right, neither is comfortable but in the middle is unbearable.
Plus there is massive chaffing & pressure in the perineum area.
What kind of Saddle might avoid these problems? I dont think the problem is so bad I need one of those weird saddles with no nose/front end.

Are you sure the saddle hasn't pushed down at the front, causing you to slide along to the skinny front part?
SLR ftw.

just ride in the cold, problem solved

Very sharp! That sounds like a very realistic possibility, but my saddle looks as straight as ever.
Ill doubt check & play around with angles though.

In never gets cold in my nether regions. Maybe the end of my knob at most.

• #393
Could the saddle have moved back on the rails, causing you to shuffle or lean further forward?

this is forum is amazing!
well, I've ridden a turbo, switched to a concor and my ass loves it. the turbo feels like a tiny sofa..the concor's shape is well designed and great on longer rides. it also looks better, imo

I was going to say my gooch is always hot & sweaty but I rephrased.

SLR ftw.
Bit dear arent they?
I consider stuff like Turbo's & Rolls's expensive.
Which is why I only paid £2 each for my Rolls & Turbo.

You should improve your circulation, then maybe your balls will grow too.

Arse vs. £££
Sorry but £30-40 for a saddle is nothing. If you've ridden and been happy with one for 2 years, first question what might have changed to make it uncomfortable and if it can be changed back or you really do need a new saddle.
bollocks. hmm.. Have you tried the Aliante? I might plump for that.
