Have Arione CX Carbon for sale should you want a mega saddle for not so mega price. £75.
It's this one. Been used for less than 150 miles.

In a few weeks time i'll be doing Edinburgh to London over three days, thats about 150 miles a day so i want to invest in a good saddle, i used a Fizik last weekend for a 90 Mile ride and my knob is only now just getting its feeling back, not good, scary times, but it wasn't the Arione. I think i'll do as people suggested and try a few of the above mentioned saddles. Dovvles i'll take the CX carbon, PM on the way.

Maybe this is why your knob is dying?
If you're not riding hard enough and still holding an aero position, too much weight will be on your perineum and your penis will fall off.

I am a big fan of the Charge Knife - actually find it comfier than the Spoon. Swiched out my Specialized Toupe Team for a Knife on my road bike too, and havent regretted it.

Yeah, get some good shorts before splashing out on a saddle.

Have you though about a cycle fit? those make a huge difference than a change of saddle, for all you know, there might be something you might've missed that'd make the bike a lots more comfortable to ride, like lowering the saddle down or up a bit, longer/shorter stem, move saddle back/forward a bit, etc.

Thanks for the responses
i'll try a few different saddles and if they don't work out then i'll get a cycle fit -

There should'nt be so much weight on the saddle when you're lent forward/down into a racing position. Try lowering your saddle.

Sorely tempted by a spoon. "Sorely" because the Turbo what I just bought is abrading my thigh.

Finding the San Marco Phobos to be a good SS off-road saddle for me. Quite a sharp transition from the narrow front to the wide cupped rear section, which looks odd but works. The concave wide rear spreads the knocks from the trail, nicely while cruising, and its a quick short movement to the nose for climbs/quick spinning.
(IMHO its trickier to find a comfy saddle for fixed road riding, as I tend to sit in the same position a lot more.) -

+1 for the charge spoon. comfy as f*ck and at a great price

Right, this has been bugging me for weeks and weeks; this thread is a great one and is therefore often on the front page. Where it snarks me.
Please can the OP rename it to be called "Which Saddle?" rather than "What Saddle?". If you need clarification, please PM Platini.
Apologies for grammar OCD.

should we rename you martini?
My rolls is great, my charge spoon was ok too. Depends what style your after? It's when you start doing sucessive days riding that comfort really becomes an issue.
